Even if they do, painting over rotted wood doesn't do anything. The coaster needs lots of work to get up to par. When wood isn't painted or treated, water soaks into it and it swells and rots. There are many years of obvious neglect that needs to be corrected. When I went today I found it hard to believe that this coaster is being inspected by experts but I could be wrong. To me it appears that there isn't. As a roller coaster fan, I chose to not ride it. The ACA (of which I am a member) designated this ride a roller coaster landmark and to see it in such disrepair made me sad.
