Trader Joes and Aldi are loosely related corporately. Both were founded by the Albrecht family. They split in 1960, however in order to negotiate better rates with vendors at times they combine their Aldi and Trader Joe store counts for better purchasing power. But yes TJ's skews towards higher incomes and Aldi has a much more bare bones approach to their branded products.
The only comparison between Trader Joe's and Aldi is they are both grocery shopping. Quality of TJs food cannot be compared far better quality, customer service...off the chain, lots and lots of staff always on the floor...trader Joe's bar none. I love, love, did i say love their Swiss Chocolate, milk or dark....yum and their wines.
No, much better.
Higher end. Good quality
Trader Joe's is higher end. Very good, quality products and produce. Good prices too, but not as low as Aldi's.
I consider it more upscale. Similar products.
