When you register and they asked for your bank account and router number they ask also for your bank statements? I never heard something like that

Never seen that before. When I registered they needed a voided check to verify the account, but no statement was needed.

The only reason I could see them asking for that, is if you don't have a checking account. Just to see if your name is on that savings account.
