That's exactly it, i think they might use square, square holds payment from gift cards for like 60 or 90 days, the smoke shop probably doesn't want deal with that, being a business owner the last thing you want is money held that long. I've been going to Emmaus Smoke shop for a while and have no complaints at all.
A gift card and bank card are completely different forms of payment. They process differently. Their system just doesn't process payments from a gift card.
