Yes you have a direct access to the river,but you can reserv to the runger or put the number to your car and put some think in your place and you have a beautiful place to accès at the river, 5/6 miles and you have a fabuleuse see.
There are overgrown trails down to the river. There may be a drop down a steep bank depending on water level and river flow.
Most camp spots have water access. I did not see a public place for non-campers to access the river, but the group campground areas may have better access for others.
yes it does, there's not any engineered / formal approach, but you can walk almost right to the edge if you wanted
