They are a for-profit thrift shop. Well they are not a charity they do accept donations (I don't know why anyone would donate their considering that they are just lining someone else's pockets rather than giving to an actual cause). They definitely do not buy clothing from individuals. They do by bulk from other charities (for pennies on the dollar) to sell in their stores. While I shop there often- I think it's important for people to understand that they are not donating to any kind of cause when you give them your stuff. you are merely helping their CEO to make a fat profit without spending any of his own money to stock his shop.
They don't buy anything they accept donations and you get a receipt in return. Well is actually a tax write-off that you get.
