I Scheduled an appointment for registration on May 1 without realizing it was a Saturday but turns out the dmv is closed on the weekend. So why would the website give me an appointment if it’s closed? Somebody help please

I would try to reschedule and or go that following Monday 3rd with confirmation of that appointment for the 1st and take the shot that a human will reason that a machine set the appointment and allow you to conduct your business.
