Yes it can get crowded especially on weekends
It can get super crouded get there early or you won't have a table
As others have said if you would like a table or grill get there early. Otherwise the crowds aren't bad at all
Weekends can be crowded, but not that bad. The beach area and picnic/bbq area is pretty spacious. If you are planning a weekend day..go before 12.
On weekends and holidays...most likely. Weekdays are slower of course. I went on a busy holiday weekend last year...it was still okay...just get there early and grab a spot.
