I ordered my son’s coat on October 19, 2021. The owner said it would take between 12-14 weeks and it stated it that on her counter. 27 weeks later we finally received his coat. Communication was severely lacking on her end as I had to keep calling for an update even after her expected deadline. I always felt like I was inconveniencing her by calling and asking for an update. She never had an idea when my son’s coat would arrive and claimed it was a supply chain issue. Sometimes it would take over a week for her to call us back after several messages after she told us that coat was slated to arrive. She claimed she couldn’t contact any of her suppliers and didn’t have tracking information for anything. We called around to other letterman companies in the area seeing if they were having the same delivery issues and none of them were! They were delivering coats between 12-14 weeks. One company said the longest it took for 1 person was 15 weeks. We talked with her about a week before the coat came in saying if we were unhappy she would refund us our deposit (mind you we were already 26 weeks into the process). Finally we got the call on Friday, May 22, 2022 saying the coat was in and that she would have it done that weekend and that she would even meet us to get it. Yeah that never happened. We waited another 4 days for her to let us know it was in. Yes, she did a good job on the coat, but if I would have known it was going to take 27 weeks I would have gone to another vendor. She did take off $25 off our order, but that didn’t even seem close to fair. We will be going to another local vendor for other son’s coat!!

This jacket is a piece of art!!! Mimi took our hand drawn art and made a masterpiece out of it!!! She did such a great job of walking us through each piece of the jacket to really make it our own. The way the back patch turned out more than exceeded our expectations. Mimi you are THE best!

My son wanted a different type of lettermans jacket, little did I know Jostens and A LOT of other local companies would not provide patches unless we purchase THEIR letterman jacket. It pains me to have to leave a negative review because I know this is a small business. But after getting my daughters jacket back, I feel I have to let others know about the quality of craftsmanship that All Star Sewing provides. I took my daughters Letterman jacket here a couple years ago to have some bars and patches put on. The lady that used to own it was wonderful and she did a great job. So I came back since it was time to update my daughters jacket again. I was not aware that the older lady sold her company, although, i wish i had known. The new owner told me about a week and a half, maybe 2 weeks to have the new patches and bars put on. I was ok with that. At about 2 weeks, I called to see where they were at with it. No one answered the phones. I called multiple time and left messages each time. I heard nothing back from them. So I reached out on Facebook to see if they would respond to me there. The original lady who owned it still keeps up the FB page so she reached out to the new owner for me. I finally got a text message from the new owner saying my daughters jacket would be ready the following day, at no charge since she had now had my daughters jacket 3 weeks. When we got the jacket back, it was horrible. Her megaphone patched was upside down, 2 of the bars were flipped the wrong way and upside down, and the stitching was awful. I will provide a picture of it. My daughter was in tears. So I took it to a place in Fife and they were able to completely fix it (which only took them 3 days). Like I said, I feel horrible for having to post a negative review. But others should know about this. I pray that the new owner steps up and can fix her business practices/craftsmanship before she loses more customers.
