Man of Kent is a restaurant that never disappoints. Always excellent food and amazing service. French Onion is second to none and their menu is nothing short of extensive. If you’ve never been to the area, the restaurant just randomly jumps out at you but it’s so worth the drive. 10/10

We loved this place with the original owner. But that was so long ago. My children were little and we would go in the summer so we could eat outside as they still allowed smoking inside. They had ducks and a pet pig that my children would feed. They loved it! Back then, the food was OK, not great. But the owner's tales and the beautiful outdoor area was what we really enjoyed. I've eaten here twice in the past few months. Now it is definitely a local bar. Lots of regulars hooting and hollering to each other. The menu has grown to 4 pages. Pricey, all things considered. The first time I had their famous beef stew. It was not good. It was a good three day old mush. No individual food items were discernable. Second time, yesterday, I got a basic cheeseburger. Much better. My friend had the scallop appetizer. We drank water and coffee. Spent 50 bucks. I will probably try again, but not with my 83 year old mom at lunch time on a Thursday. That seems to be a favorite time for the locals. We waited 15 minutes for a high top. Also, it was kind of sad. The original owner had incredible memorabilia all over the place. But it was clean, and he had a story for every piece. Now, some if it is still there, but it's filthy. And the current owner has stuck a bunch of stuff up, too. Lots of stickers, old hats, and local business paraphernalia. Sigh.

Great food… I really mean it .. the staff were very pleasant.. the mighty small woman serving the restaurant packed a mighty punch .. they were fast .. helpful.. and very observant.. ordered the stake Diane and I’m glad I did..

Man of Kent, in Hoosick Falls, NY, is an interesting spot for a restaurant. It's on Route 7 on the way to Vermont, so you have to know keep an eye out or you'll fly by. My husband and I have been there several times. It has a lot of sports decor and a huge selection of beer, but it also has a good selection of entrees on the menu. My husband had the sea bass special with a twice-baked potato and green beans. He really enjoyed the sea bass and potato (I get the green beans). I tried the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. It was very tasty with a nice creamy sauce. We shared a piece of coconut pie for dessert and headed home. Our server was very friendly and efficient; however, there were a lot of other customers and there was quite a wait. And be prepared for no internet, so just relax and chat.
