Great Hosts, very welcoming. Nice campsites tucked in the back. Showers, washrooms, Morning coffee!

Stayed in the tent site. The site and the dumpster were a bush away. Crows were terrible for that. Dogs without leashes. Bathrooms were ALWAYS dirty, which is confusing considering they are only available to the guests and we seen employees each day. The stalls don’t lock and only one toilet out of four stayed unclogged in the womens. No concept of a broom or garbage bags. For $0.25 you get a 3minute shower but the water is cold and you’re basically bathing because the water doesn’t drain! Don’t forget flip flops or shower shoes!!!! You’re going to need them. Outdoor maintenance was OK. Seems they only do the bare minimum..

Camping Options/Amenities| ★★★★★ A good place to take a RV, Trailer, Fifth Wheel, Camper, or just to pitch a tent. There are water, sewage(N/A in the tent only section), & electricity ports for each space. Also there's a set each of public showers(pay 1 quarter per 3mins) & bathrooms for male & female. As well as propane & firewood available for purchase. Plus a dumpster for garbage that gets emptied weekly & animals are allowed provided you dispose of their poo. All of those things are available for reasonable rates. __________________________________________ Management/Maintenance| ★★★★★ Manager does rounds regularly to check for any problems, cleans the bathroom often, refills your propane tanks for a decent price, delivers mail daily, will change dollars into quarters for the showers, and is easy to talk to if you have questions. If any maintenance issues arise, they're dealt with in a prompt timeframe.

Site itself is fine but man, the host/owner was so rude. My dad and I stayed there for two nights last week after staying in a National Park. In the National Park, it was made clear there was a burn ban in place. But that ban was only in place in National or State Parks while private land could choose whether or not to enforce it. When we checked in, the host didn't mention any sort of burn ban and she still had all the fire pits out in all the sites, even though they were moveable. So we made a small fire that night around 7 p.m. Around 9, she comes running out at us, yelling to put it out or she's calling 911. No, "Hey, we don't want a fire," but straight to calling the authorities even though she made ZERO effort to say she wanted no fires. No signs, no signals, didn't say anything. Also worth noting it rained a TON the day prior and it actually rained even more the very next day. Honestly, I have no issue with her not wanting fires in her campground. It's her right as a business owner. But immediately threatening to call the cops out rather than simply asking us to put it out -- especially because, again, she never said anything and had no signs -- left a really bad taste in my mouth. I like Westport a lot and plan on going out there more going forward, but I don't plan on coming back to this campground after how rude the host/owner was. There are plenty of other campgrounds and hotels and areas to stay with a Discover Pass in the area and I'd guess that you'd be treated better at one of those other locations. I RARELY write reviews here and they're almost always when I enjoy a business or location, but this owner was rude enough I felt I needed to post this.
