The room was highly satisfactory, although a little cool (63 degrees) upon first arriving. The restaurant was satisfactory with typical pub grub type fare (although not all menu options were available), and adequate service. Breakfast service was extremely slow, and again offered menu items were out of stock. The advertised availability of pool and hot tub was not met, and obviously had not been for a period of time - website information was NOT updated. Overall a decent place to stay for a night, as long as you manage your expectation.

This is a wonderful hotel on the edge of Ticonderoga. Currently (late July 2021) the indoor pool is being repaired. The furnishings are a little old, but in good shape. The king bed I stayed in was very comfortable with several good pillows. A/C was good and the fridge was large and cold. Lighting, while plentiful, was a little dim and yellow-y. Bathroom was good, with good water pressure and hot water. What made this place special was the lady at the front desk. I did not have a reservation, and it was 1pm on Sunday. They had plenty of available rooms, but as many people had just checked out, my room wouldn't be ready until 3pm, which was fine. She cheerfully supplied me with maps of the town, made a great restaurant recommendation (Wind Chill), and even supplied me with a hand towel as I mentioned I would be going running in the afternoon heat. I believe the person's name was Erin or Aaron, and she was really above and beyond courteous. Made a big difference.
