I cannot say enough positive things about this place. Awakenings by the Sea saved my sister's life. The work they do there, the care they give to their patients and the message they set forth is a true blessing. Not only did they gave me my sister back, but they helped her build a solid foundation of recovery which she remains standing on today. Great group of women. Patients are required to attend many meetings, which is wonderful. They need to work on Trauma Informed Care. While it is important for an addict to learn how to manage shame- some exercises can prove to be dangerous if a clients background is not considered in depth before such group exercises.
