We placed 2 breakfast platters to go. I was very thorough in placing the order with the “owner” Jeanie. My girlfriend and I had her on speaker phone and repeatedly explained what we would like. She repeated it back incorrectly and we corrected her. I went to pick the order up, returned home trusting I had a complete order. One platter was not there and the other platter was missing the breakfast sausage. I called them to explain, Jeanie was very rude and did not care that the order was incorrect. I explained that I lived 15 minutes away and we weren’t going to be able to eat the food. Could she remake it so we could eat our breakfast together. She refused. Her tone was very nasty. I told her don’t worry about remaking it, I would come in for a refund, she hung up on me. We drove back to the Whitman Diner which is 15 minutes away to see Jeanie. I asked her how could I eat food that was 1) made incorrectly 2) now cold and 3) missing items that I paid for. She replied in a very nasty tone “We don’t give back money.” She was looking at us with a very sour face and as if we were beneath her. I explained to her that we patronize her restaurant frequently with doctors and corporate staff she said she didn’t care and then began to ignore us like we weren’t even standing there. It was a measly $24 order. It’s not about the money it’s about the principal. As a professional working in the customer service industry you should always take responsibility for your mistakes and treat people equally! She said in a snarky tone that she was the manager and the owner and there was no one above her that we could speak with. I left very upset about how I was treated and I honestly discriminated against.

Pros: looked clean. Had pumpkin pancakes with my son ( 4 year old). We both loved them. The syrup was a nice touch. Usual dinner large morning sausage, and bacon. The waiter was quick , polite, and professional. Was around 12:30. Not busy. Staffed well. Cons: was a pretty good visit, but there were a few minor things. They up charge for the pumpkin flavoring $1.99 for each dish. So didn't care for that. The parking lot was littered with dead bugs, kind of trashy looking. The parking lot is awkward shape, so be careful of people coming in quickly. Music was slightly high, but I would rather that than bunch of TVs. Update: 4/1/22 Pros : Food was very tasty. Chocolate pancakes are good and the Tuscany Omlette ( not spicy) was great. Clean , good service, recommend Peter. Sliverware wrapped in a package marked sanitized, for those worried . Cons: change in hours caught me off guard. They are only 8am to 3pm. Closed Mondays .So in Jersey, calling your business a diner and having odd hours , doesn't make since. More of a Cafe. So only lunch and breakfast. Prices are slightly higher than normal. Spent $48 just for family of 3. Before tip. $3 for coffee kind of high. Bathroom wasn't so nice. Still have a bar area , not being used. Not sure what the owner is trying to accomplish, but I hope they do well. Pretty sure they upset some usuals with the new business hours. Torn on this one. All and all , I would maybe go there if in area " before 3pm. I'm Beef and that's where I was.

Went for brunch. Got the cinnamon french toast which was delicious!! Others with me mentioned a bland omelette and bland breakfast potatoes so there's that. I did try a couple of my dad's fries he got and they were as delicious as my French toast. Looking forward to going back!

Ordered the signature "Eye Opener" breakfast at 10am. Bacon and sausage were barely edible and tasteless. Eggs and potatoes passable. Coffee fine. Service perfect. Obviously, getting here early is the key to a fine breakfast.
