As the other reviewers have said, there is no justice in this court. The judge literally said that "I believe you. I think that you are credible. I do not think that you are a dangerous driver. But I am going to believe the officer anyways." Go in knowing you will find no justice. When he tells you that he is going to declare you guilty and asks if you will pay the (illegal) fines now or later, say that you will be appealing to the Marion Counry Circuit Court for a fair and proper trial under the 6th Amendment. Get the paperwork from the ladies in front and submit it. Also get a fee waiver and write that you are proceeding "in forma pauperis, under the 6th Amendment." This court is the real court. It is recognized as a "court of record" by the Oregon SC, and is filled with legitimate judges who uphold the law.

The office ladies are really sweet and always answered my calls and questions with efficiency. This was my first time at a justice court in Oregon and after watching three people before me for traffic tickets I noticed that the judge only believes law enforcement no matter what you say or what kind of evidence you bring in. I was shocked to hear that Oregon doesn't require evidence from law enforcement for a traffic violation and was discouraged to watch the judge believe law enforcement over every civilian. I don't see the point of trying to fight your tickets here, they do not care what you have to say.

Got a ticket 12yrs ago moved the out state back home.letter in mail for almost 10k. Original fine was 5k. Collections is worse then a loan shark with interest. Went to try to settle with the judge told me to make payments the wil talk.over 2 yrs made 2500 worth of payment for my fine to go down only 700 bucks. Again tried the judge and nothing waited for new judge and pretty much the same. I guess il consider myself lucky he let me pay off my orginal 5k and cut out the collection agency.as for the 2500 worth of payment nothing. Nancy is the only star this place gets.she helped me through this very messy ugly situation. I guess oregon meeds that money from somewhere since they aint getting it from taxes.il never stwp foot in that state again

Yes, depending on circumstance fine can be lowered. And yes, payment plan is available. However, currently my total due DOUBLED from only one payment (December)missed, EVEN THOUGH every payment made prior and again January has been double minimum required, as well as very first payment was TRIPLE minimum...therefore, I advise two things #1 KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS OF ALL TRANSACTIONS ... ALL TRANSACTIONS #2 Don't skip, miss or be late for payment Personally, and OJD has been notified, I will be asking F.T.C if it is legal to DOUBLE my original total amount due as penalty for missing one payment...at Christmas time !!! Seriously, learn from my mistake people.... You're welcome
Go there 1/7/19 and request copy. THEN, get your act together !!! Believe me when I graciously and kindly warn you that law of Any department is not a wise one to be antagonizing with stupid irresponsible behaviour!!! Their patience level is non existent and for good reason !!!
Go to their website and input your case#....OR go there in person and ask a clerk. They are friendly and kind, at least they were to me...but I was respectful, soooooooo, yeh...take from that what you will
