IN my opinion AVOID the ER At St Vincent's in Portland Oregon on Barnes road when dr Alejandro L Kitzis is there .After doing my research on this doctor he is not a doctor at all but a dentist. He is unprofessional rude refused to do accurate tests and scans. I came in to the er for a serious medical condition and he yelled and screamed at me refused to do tests I was in tears crying begging him to stop yelling and screaming at me nobody should have to feel that way he has no place being in the Er in my opinion he is inhumane in my opinion he is very evil and vile. Also We as patients get sick of the doctors gaslighting us. If anyone has lost there life due to his neglect and his actions I would file a complaint against him with the medical board my opinions are based on how I was treated and I always tell the truth .

I recently had out patient surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital and it couldn't have been a better experience if I had planned the whole thing myself. From the admissions staff thru the outpatient nursing staff. The nurses in the pre op area, surgical area and post op area were wonderful. Kind, caring and superior. I don't remember specific names except for the post op area where Megan was my main nurse. Names don't make excellent care givers. I want to thank everyone for the care I received. I also think the thank you cards included with my belongings is a really nice thing!!!

It isn't surprising when you look at reviews for hospitals and see that many reviews aren't very good. I don't know that it's an accurate reflection of the care that is provided, considering that most people go to the hospital when things AREN'T going well. So, I can see how reviews might skew to the negative. My Mother passed away at St Vincent in their care at the Neurology ICU. And even though it was a negative experience to lose my mom, the care and treatment they gave her was second to none. Dr McClenathan and her team there showed wonderful compassion throughout the challenges of determining my Mom's care. She was willing to sit with my brother and I at different times, despite what I'm sure would be a busy schedule, to talk with us about what was going on, treatments, and helping us thru the process. St Vincent Hospital did us right. They did all that they could, and all I saw was patience, caring, compassion, and willingness. Thank you for your service thru a hard time for our family.

St. Vincent's Portland does offer valet parking. I believe it is near the East pavilion. Not sure of their hours of operations.
One per hospital stay. We used to have one per day but people came in and gave patients and caregivers covid
Nearest Starbucks is half mile away going up burnside, also one in super market.
The East Pavilion is open at 0600hrs Mon-Fri, closes at 1800 (6p.m. I believe). Sat & Sun 0800hrs to 1700hrs (I believe).

You can always call 503 216 1234 and get a room number but if you send a card via mail it may not make it to them depending on length of stay
There are a lot of different surgical procedures that can be performed on an "out patient" basis. Many patients can go home the same day. It will depend on what procedure is being done along with any other issues that arise. I work in the main Operating room at St. Vincent's as a scrub tech and see many patients go home later after recovery.
Yes! There are wheelchairs available just inside the East Pavillion entrance.
