I've lived for almost 9 years. I enjoy the complex and have had minimal problems. I feel fairly safe in the complex however with ANYWHERE that you live, you have to be careful. There have been a few scattered incidents thru the years but nothing that made me that I had to move or would no longer be safe. The complex is cleaned daily. There are no mice. Maintenance is fairly timely. The office accepts your packages. The office staff is pretty good. The apartments are very roomy and the cost is reasonable. The only thing that I don't like so much are the semi annual inspections. However, its apart of how they keep the complex up. They have been doing updates in the apartments also. I wish they had washers and dryers in each apt unit but each bldg is okay and there is a laundromat up the street. All in all, its a good complex with minimal issues. Any problems that I've reported with neighbors were addressed and two were evicted . **You get free girl scout cookies every year :-)**

Lived here for 5 years and the community is wonderful! Early on there were times when I struggled to pay the rent on time and management always worked with me on paying it, never threatening eviction (you just have to approach them prior to the due date)! Maintenance is prompt and efficient, and office staff is always helpful. Yes, the rules here are a little strict, but, that's what makes this a great place to live--high standards! Check this place out and make up your own mind about it.

My girlfriend with her 2 dogs rented here for a year in a bottom floor apartment before moving in with me & it was the worst apartment company I've ever seen (I've lived in 5 or 6 different apartments before buying a house). I'll just list the problems: Almost everyday there were kids running around the hallways (due to 2 families living next door to each other). Nothing was done about the constant ruckus. Weekly there were leaks in her bathroom ceiling that were somewhat fixed until the next leak occurred. Pretty much they would replace a ceiling tile over and over again each time we reported it. The toilet had issues flushing monthly due to pipe issues which they once again somewhat fixed until it would occur again. They even tried to blame her once saying they found a Walmart shopping bag in the pipes. We're not that idiotic to flush stuff like that down the toilet. About 3 months of living there, her car was broken in to with several other cars. They said the people used some device to unlock the cars in the area. Luckily, nothing of value was in her car for them to steal. About 6 months of living there, someone called in complaining she was taking her dogs walking CLOSE to the playground area (she would always be about 20' away walking them). Also every time she went out there, she would clean up after them and never left droppings. She was told she would have to walk them in the middle grass section of the parking lot, which was always frustrating because it's not that big for the dogs to walk around. After 9 months of living there, they sent her a letter telling her to move a trash can (probably 1'x1'x2' dimensions) she used to keep dog droppings in on her patio because she wasn't allowed to have trash cans of any size outside. So we had to deal with storing poop in the apartment until she moved out. Once she was ready to move out, they told her she didn't give enough notice (they require 3 months notice which is ridiculous & nowhere else have I ever seen this) because she was 5 days late telling them. So she had to pay about $250 for them to list an ad to find a new tenant, as if those 5 days lost made it so difficult for them to find someone. Upon moving into the apartment, she was required to pay a deposit of about $2100 ($1300 security deposit & $800 pet deposit for her 2 dogs). After moving out, we both cleaned the place top to bottom & there were no damages (other than the ceiling leaks they never permanently fixed). Normally, (from apartments I've lived in with animals) they will keep the pet deposit to replace the carpets since pets damage it with urine, poop, scratches, etc. & give back the security deposit if there is no damage by the tenant. Kenwood used almost $1200 to replace the carpet, even charging her $125 to throw away the carpet, and gave her back about $400, stating she only gave a total of about $1700 in total for the deposit ($900 security & $800 pet), which was a bunch of bull. She gave about $2100. We reviewed it with a lawyer to see if there was any way to fight this. He said it was not worth taking them to court because they never explicitly stated they were limited to using the pet deposit for the carpet. Why have a pet deposit then if it doesn't cover carpet replacement??? I looked up to see if we were the only ones who experienced this & found it was common for them to dip into security deposits even if the tenant had normal wear/tear from living there. So after all that, I'd recommend people look to rent elsewhere if they want to be treated fairly & not have an apartment complex take advantage of their tenants.

TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS BY THE OFFICE. This was a great place to live in 2014 up until we were moving out. We had awesome, friendly, quiet neighbors. For the price you get a spacious apartment. Upon determining to live there the only part that was strange was even though the office staff seemed friendly enough, they weren't very good at explaining their own rental agreement rules. We had to go over the possibilities of breaking our year lease early with them a few times because they don't seem to really understand it themselves. One of the younger girls wasn't knowledgeable at all and if you meet her she is very awkward at everything. Just wait and go another time when Jenna is there. She was the best at explaining everything out of the 3 main female employees. But in the end she made us just as aggravated. We knew the possibility of moving out early was huge so knowing the terms of the agreement was a huge thing for us to understand. They said as long as we gave them enough notice before moving out we could get them to find someone to hopefully take over our lease. again we went over that to be clear what we were getting into. once we found out we needed to move like we had expected then they said we had to pay an upfront small fee to do that and then they said we had to decide no later than a day or two after they told us we had to decide in the first place. they never told us when signing the contract that we had to PICK one or the other by such and such a date. so ridiculous then they said we'd have to pay for any months they didn't fill the apartment after we left. so my husband called and spoke to Awkward Young Girl and asked her how long it typically takes to rent an apartment, how long do apartments stay vacant on a percentage. She told him there was no way for her to know that. Are you kidding me! You work at an apartment complex and you cant give rough numbers on your full and empty apartments??? What a joke. To top it off I had a friends tiny dog at my apartment for 5 days that they charged $40 flat. They charged me $150 after we moved out. What a joke joke joke!
