Please skip this place if you’re looking for good food. The only plus about this place is the staff, mariachi band and ambience Store bought salsa is better than salsa here and their guacamole had olives in it like what!?? Their tortilla chips were stale and thick. Sangria was store bought sangria with ice not made there and tables were worn down and broken.

The long lines to get in even on weekdays are well deserved. Approaching and experiencing Casa Guadalajara, you will be transported to a Mexican culinary adventure. There is so much ambience and culture here - eye candy at every turn. There was a mariachi band playing while we were here. The fajita, seafood, and margaritas we had were exceedingly delicious and flavorful.

We went one evening for cocktails and dessert. The house Margarita was way to sweet, I had to add water and an extra squeeze of lime. The churro with milk chocolate and ice cream, I would definitely go back for. The next day, we ended to go for breakfast, I ordered two mole chicken enchiladas and scramble eggs. The mole needed a little more chocolate but was good. During both visits, servers were the very best, they were attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Mexican artifacts, well curated and was the best part of the experience.

This restaurant was amazing. What a great find! I came across this restaurant while visiting Old Town, San Diego for the first time. The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere and the ambience was great. It had a lot of Mexican influenced decor. I came in on a Sunday night during the Christmas weekend, and even with all the crowd I didn't have to wait long. The server and staff were very friendly, polite and quick. Immediately after seating, I was greeted with tortilla chips and salsa(which btw was one of the best salsas I ever had). I also ordered a veggie enchiladas as my entree along with a virgin Pina Colada. The food was very tasty and fresh. The restaurant was clean, and nice decor and vibe. It is located just at the start of Old Town and had plenty of parking space as well, even on a super busy night. All in all, this was a great experience and will 10/10 visit again the next time I'll be in San Diego.

Their arrachera is good
Sanitizing mat at entrance and hand sanitizer, everyone wears mask unless eating or drinking, waiters wearing masks and tables located more than 6 feet away from one another 😷
Looked on their website to check hours and didn't see them listed. They're currently serving in their outside patios and if you go for lunch, go right at 11am. They get really busy, fast. The wait at dinnertime can be an hour and a half! But, the food is worth the wait. Enjoy!
