Where do I begin? Not only was it a rainy Sunday running errands type of vibe but this was my first experience at Roots Natural Kitchen Downtown VCU and let’s just say they gained a customer forever! Let’s list the pros because there were absolutely no cons: 1) the amount you pay for the amount you get is amazing this is the only place I have been who gives you enough portions that I now have lunch tomorrow or for two small eaters! 2) the customer service for my first time was amazing so very sweet and helpful 3) the items in the EL JEFE (highly recommend) were so fresh it’s like it’s handpicked from an all natural farm I could literally indulge in it all! If you are in the area you have to try it out you guys are amazing 😍

Since covid hit it seems like the quality of their ingredients has gone down but still good food to be had. The bowls are unique but it would be better if they offered a community's choice bowl because the pre-selected bowls are really not that special and don't show off what they have on the menu.

i love eating here, the ingredients are always fresh and natural and the staff has always been kind and unbothered when i get modifications or something extra. this is a great stop for vegetarians and vegans and the portion sizes are lasting. <3

I love going down the line and choosing everything and anything I want in my mix. They clearly state the items that contain dairy and gluten ingredients. The food is scrumptious with plenty of choices(the grilled mushrooms are perfect) and the staff have always been kind.
