Members were very welcoming even to those of us not dressed in our "Sunday Best". There's a different feeling here and I love it.

Church itself seems okay, but the people that go door to door don't seem to obey signs or take no for an answer. They really make this place seem terrible. Come door to door and disobey signs/laws/privacy.

Very wonderful church with good people. However, the missionaries that go door to door are merciless. They have been trespassing for years, knowingly cause harm to occupants. Ignoring signs say keep out, no trespassing, they come in anyways. When told to leave and not come back... They come back, sometimes a multiple times in one day. They have been caught peeping into windows. They have been talking to a minor against their parents instructions. They have made it difficult for people and young children to rest ... and to their right to peace. These missionaries need to learn how to: Obey Washington State Law, Gray's Harbor Country regulations, Obey Ocean Shores County regulations for door to door interactions (as well as stalking and harassment laws), Obey the Federal Supreme Law of The Land. This is part of the US Constitution and they are knowingly violating it, repeatedly. This has been an on going issue since 2015. I am posting here because of the mission President has failed, to revolve the issue after several years, he has known about it since 2016, yet to this day, the issue persists. These missionaries keep trying to find "loop holes". Missionaries need to stop harassing and stalking people who request to be left alone. Especially, when they are risking someone's life with playing games. It doesn't matter if they pounding on the door, ignoring no trespass/keep out/restricted entry signs, walking 8 feet onto the property, yelling and screaming to get attention, attempting to open a gate that is clearly closed, when they are told to leave the property and not come back they need to do just that - its the law. They need to be controlled. Numerous attempts have been made to contact this church to relive the situation, with no call back - my only personal complaint with the local church here. These missionaries need to stop calling their victim a "hater." I have demonstrated the utmost restraint with these issue, despite it going on for years. This isn't a knock knock door visit. Its doors being pounded on for several minutes, my child getting touched when I've said not to go anywhere near her, peeping into windows, looking at my daughter naked through cracks in the blinds, not leaving when told to, causing harm - even when a doctors note has been provided telling them to not do what they're doing, tens of hours begging and pleading to be left in peace, numbers letters explaining medical conditions, being mocked for being the victim of a crime. They told me it was "because who I was with, what I was wearing, and the lifestyle I chose poorly" . I was wearing a US Military Uniform when I got hurt awhile back. Again, as for the local church, great, and some of the most wonderful people I have ever had the privilege of bumping into or meeting. The church is self is beautiful. These missionaries are relentless, heartless, and reckless they need to be controlled before they kill someone, or successfully provoke someone. They themselves are making the church look terrible, and risking criminal and civil action. The missionaries are literally destroying the image of the church, in my opinion, and personal experience with them. I will be happy to update this post once they missionaries and their Tacoma Mission President behave like human beings, instead of demigods. As long as the issue persists and the President or whoever is in charge of them lets them break the law this review will stand. I will be happy to rewrite it when or if I can give a positive review of the unrelenting missionaries who are representing this church. Again, this is an actual review with factual evidence. Great church! Terrible Missionaries. This is a small community and I'm sure several people know who I am. I am not doing this to spite the church or anyone. I just want to be left in peace. I want the missionaries to obey the law - they are not above it. I don't think its to much to ask for some answers publicly, as for the past several years, my pleas have gone unanswered, and get swept under the rug by these missionaries and their leader.

Questions & Answers

What gives missionaries the right to approach, touch, or talk with someone's children, even when the parents have explicitly told the missionaries to stay away from their children and property?

As a missionary, we don't have that kind of right. I don't know what else those particular missionaries have done, but from what I can see from everything you've said, it isn't how we are supposed to act like at all. I know it's been over 3 years, but we can try to solve any other concerns you have about the missionaries and the work that we do! God bless.

Why do missionaries keep coming and harassing someone, even when they know they causing harm (notified verbally and in writing)? Even further, why do they continue when they've been told that they are banned from the property and to never return?

Someone else said it in one of these. "They know best./ask them" by that extension then they know best when to cause harm to people. furthermore they also know more than the law or a property owner does when they're told to leave. By one response /the missionaries must secretly know best that the law and the home owner really don't know whats best for them. so missionaries know best /short of answering multiple questions here / when to harass, stalk, break the law, talk with someone's kid, and when its okay to cause harm to someone / by the above logic of, they know best. We have had similar problems. If they break the law it just that / they break the law. They aren't here with the divine power of god to pass judgement, conviction, and sentencing. When someone says no / it means no. Touch a kid is assault. So by the logic here they "know best" when to assault someone? Its okay for someone to say they want to be left alone. It is not okay for that someone to come back again and again.
