Some of the people here are genuinely wonderful & helpful. Others...not so much. Stared down & publicly shamed by not one, but *two* employees, for using on site resources that I was told on *2 separate occasions, by 2 other employees* that I was allowed to use...? Uh; no thanks...they can have it. FYI, WorkSource employees: one bad experience can drastically alter people's perception of the "help" you're supposedly there to provide. Time to re-evaluate your employee's people skills.

If you are going here for quick employment you're in the wrong place. These people do not have job offers for you. They have people who will send you 6 random job search links from various websites maybe once per week. They say that they offer different services, and once asked they dodge the question and end up explaining it isn't their offer. These people wasted more than a week of my time. I am only aggrieved so much by this location because they promised so much more.

I really hate snipes. The staff is verbally abusive on most calls. They really like supporting criminals who falsify accident reports, bribe doctors, and engage in insurance fraud, larceny, wire fraud, mail fraud and racketeering. What a bunch of jerks

I am currently making use of the Beaverton WorkSource office's resources and have found them very helpful. Their classes and programs are designed to make you more marketable, improve your interview skills, write a targeted resume, and learn how to use networking and social media as a job search tool. They also have many training programs, which require you to jump through a few hoops, but can really augment your job skills. and the NCRC test isn't that bad, if you have taken any college level math or reading comprehension you will do fine. What they DON'T do is find a job for you. That is your job....to take what you learn from them and apply it to the job of finding yourself a job. they can screen you for employers and refer you to jobs if your skills match what the job is looking for. but you still have to apply yourself. However, if you go sit in their office and whine and expect them to find you a job, then well....you will continue to be unemployed.
