Put flowers on my parents grave on Palm Sunday (for Easter). Always take the flowers (including the blessed palm from church) on Palm Sunday. My sister went today (6 days later) and just about all the Graves had been cleared including the flowers and palm on my parents. A little too soon...it was for Easter.

I didn't share last year but this was an experience my children have talked about all year. We live 4 hours away and im glad I took them out of school to come to this. My son took his project from the year before and enjoyed showing it to the Veterans. The speaker gave him a coin that he loves and has it in a safe place in his room.

For an event produced by volunteers, not bad. Music is pre recorded. Must arrive early as parking and seating is limited.

Yes and yes. You should go out to the cemetery office and get yourselves pre approved.
Depends on where you're coming from. Coming from DC, take Rt. 50 east to Rt. 3/301 North to Rt. 175/Millersville Rd. East, Rt. 178 south a bit to Sunrise Beach east. From the north, 97 south to 32 east to 178 south/east to Sunrise Beach east. You might be able to miss 97 by coming south on 170 to 175 east to 178 to Sunrise Beach but it will take you longer. From the northwest, find 32 east to 178 to Sunrise Beach. Put Maryland Veteran's Cemetery Crownsville into your navigator and it will take you there!
