Can't even put in to words how special this place is. The care they gave our Dad from the beginning to the very end was so peaceful. I would never take a loved one anywhere else for their last days. A sincere thank you for the genuine care your staff provides here to make your loved one comfortable and the family.. Even after our Dad had passed, they place a flickering candle at the end of his bed. I am forever grateful. Thank you again.

When my mother made the decision to move to hospice, I’m so glad this was the facility she chose. The staff provided her with professional, gracious care that, I think, made her passing much easier for her. From bringing her bed into the garden where she could visit with family and enjoy the outdoors, to managing her pain, and giving her scented baths, the staff consistently cared for my mother as though she were one of their own. Several of the nursing staff would stop by her room at end of shift simply to say goodbye for the day, because they said they really enjoyed visiting with her. As family, this really helped us. We knew she was valued, and to us that was everything. My mother was extremely independent even to the end, and the nursing staff allowed her the dignity and privacy she required to feel comfortable. Although we all miss my mother terribly we are thankful she was able to pass peacefully in a place where her needs and wants were paramount. Thank you.

Very gentle, kind, and caring. They h rd led me understand my mother's Lewybody dementia and how to comfort her. She was not coughing in pain and agony of her lungs filling up with fluid, forced to take pills and eat. Instead she was being bathed and kept clean and warm. She is able to sleep and rest until her time comes, instead of being forced to do things she did not want to do. They explained to me what to expect, at their facility and took good care of her. I got to spend private time with her praying and reading. Sharing comforting verses from the Word of God. Praying with her from her Creator that it was her time to go see Him and her other family. They are doing a great job.

my mother-in-law passed on there and they comforted her and made sure we the family were very comfortable. the staff was always thoughtful and kind. they even fed our whole family and made sleeping arrangements at times. i do not have one bad thing to say. they're wonderful. we are asking that anyone that comes to the memorial that wants to donate to a cause my mother-in-law would approve of , would send donations to community home health hospice. if you want peace for your family and loved one this is the place. i saw the reviews from just after the facility opened and they have turned their persona around 100%. wayde

Absolutely! Anyone can have overnight guests. We have pull out hide-a-beds in the rooms for our families' comfort. Each patient room has access to our beautifully landscaped courtyard. We also have large family rooms with couches and televisions for family, friends and pets to gather.
Our staff provides whatever our patients would like to eat. Meals are prepared out of our kitchen. There may come a time when a patient needs around-the-clock nursing at our Don and Elaine Heimbigner Hospice Care Center to keep them comfortable when pain or other symptoms can’t be controlled at home. We do short term stays rather than long term residential stays. To understand what we do better, we would love for you to come by for a tour and see our beautiful care center.
Yes, Hospice is covered under your Medicare benefit. We also bill private insurance directly.
We do not have a grief group that meets in Battle Ground, WA. Our grief groups meet at Seasons of Hope Grief Center (3102 NE 134th Street, Vancouver) and James Avery Grief Center (1000 12th Avenue, Longview). Visit www.chhh.org/events for an up-to-date calendar on the groups and classes we offer.
