‘Ducky’ was a great travel companion for our trip. We appreciated this home away from home and fought over who go to sleep in the rooftop sleeper. It allowed us the freedom to stay at a variety of parks and campgrounds. Easy to do either tent or RV sites. Burk did an excellent job checking us in, was good with the kids and kindly shared tips and his knowledge with us. And also when we returned he helped me look for some lost items in the van. He went above and beyond making our family feel welcome. My child enjoyed the chance to draw their own design for a van and dreamed of owning one. We got many compliments along the way of our van and quite a few folks who wanted to look inside. Recommend getting a ‘bug sock’ for the windows at night although we really only had one night we needed it. We bought a cheap foam layer for the downstairs bed which made it extra comfy.

Absolutely loved Escape Campervans! Even before pick up, I had a few questions about how to pack and what to expect. My questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. We picked up in Portland and enjoyed Oregon before heading north to Washington, where we ultimately returned in Seattle. In both locations, the process was easy, professional, and the staff were awesome. I will absolutely be doing this again!

We had an incredible experience in Oregon facilitated by our ability to rent an Escape Campervan! It was such an easy, enjoyable and comfortable experience and we are already planning our next trip. We spent 7 nights on the road all around Oregon in a Maverick van. The van was easy to drive, and you could tell the design of the camper was throughly thought out. There was plenty of storage, the kitchen and sink were well set up, and the bed was a simple set up. The van is modest but had everything we were looking for. I don’t have many photos of the van, but here’s a few depicting some of our views from the road. It was also fun to see a few fellow other Escape Campers on the road! Burk and Keenan in Portland were great in helping us get set up and on our way. Couldn’t recommend Escape more!

Private vehicles can be left at one of the many 24 hour overnight parking lots, close to the depot.
Lewis and Clark Historic National Park is the closet Natinonal park. It is approximately xx miles from Portland.
Campervans can be driven cross-country, with the right planning. While they do not come with "unlimited miles, an estimated mileage charge is required for every rental. The deposit and the per mile rate is charged according to your van model.
Depending on if you are doing a round trip or one-way and from what depot location(s), the minimum rental requirements ranges from 3 to 14 days. Get a quote to learn more.
We charge a $150 non-refundable pet fee (up to 2 pets allowed). There is no charge for service dogs with the appropriate documentation. We don’t allow pets during the months of July, August, and September.
Our daily rates fluctuate and are dependent on a number of factors including van model, demand, time of year, depot location, and trip duration. You can get a quick quote on our website or call our reservations team.

Escape is often one of the first campervan companies to fill up. Our vehicles are in high demand even when it’s the low season. Many of our customers book their van before they buy their airline tickets. It is advisable to book a few months ahead during the high season months (March 15 - Oct 15) and at least two weeks before during the low season. If you’re not able to book until the last minute, contact us just in case a van may be available. We have a flexible cancellation policy, and it is advisable to book as early as possible to ensure availability and lock in the lowest prices.
