Amerigas took over Northern Energy, and the contracts seem to have changed. Tank rental went up, customer service (customer relation advocate or whatever they call it) seemingly could not follow the notes of previous phone calls. The first two attempts to get the tank removed seem to have disappeared. They finally came to pick up the tank, but were well past the service window (7:30-8:30 AM, finally showed up around 4:15 PM), did not bother to notify me they had come to get the tank, and as others indicated, charged a tank removal fee, plus labor to remove it. Also, when they do deliver propane, the price looks good, until they start adding on the extra delivery fees...

Warning to new customers. Do NOT sign with this company !!! Same exact experience as previous reviewer. Long time customer (22years) . Huge Price hike. . Not competitive when called for routine refill. Much better deals out there. When we were able to get a competitive price they imposed excessive hidden charge to pick up their own tank. Need to file complaint with WUTC.

Dropped off my tanks on Thursday. They called Friday saying they were ready. Great I thought. Bit was I wrong. Pulled up to pick them up office was open, but the people at the counter could not help me. I heard "I don't work at this office" several times. Also was told they should be closed for lunch. Was only after I asked for the corporate office number that the person at the desk gave me a card for the office and only had his desk number. Only after complaining again did she call to see how far out the service tech was. When the service tech arrived I was shocked that all he did was bring out the bottles and then the person behind the counter finished the transaction. The customer service is the worst. I will drive to Vancouver next time. Shame to see another small town business go down the drain. I will never use them again!

Very frustrating experience with this company! Scheduled to have propane delivered to a tank they have been servicing for years by owner of house (I am the renter and just needed account in my name) They scheduled me out over 2 weeks and then on the day scheduled for 10 am didn't even call until 1:30 to say they were on the way to do a safety check only... no propane for another week! When I said I was really frustrated the tech guy informed me I can always get service somewhere else... thanks I will! Ferrilgas was exceptional! I would never recommend them! And I love to talk about my experiences... good and bad! Northern energy is definitely on the bad list!

They are ridiculously expensive as well. I called to get an estimate for an external tank for my camper & it was $70.00 for a evaluation, $269.00 for set up, & $102. Tank rental. Then a $150+ (tank pick up) fee when finished with their service. 🤯😳😲

Installation costs vary by the type of installation, the required amount of work and geography. The average cost for a customer-owned tank is $69.99 for the Service Dispatch Fee. The average cost for a standard installation or swap-out of an above ground tank is $250. There are additional costs if the tank needs to be buried or if additional work on gas lines needs to occur. Discounts may be available by location or promotion.
To order propane online, start by logging in to your MyAmeriGas online account and selecting 'Request a delivery' from the 'Deliveries' navigation drop down. Simply enter your request information to calculate your orders price and use the blue 'Place Order' button to complete the process. Ineligible customers will not see the 'Request a delivery' option from the 'Deliveries' navigation dropdown but can place an order by calling 1-800-AmeriGas. Forecast customers cannot place an order online, but can see if they have an open order or pending delivery.
AmeriGas will work with you to install a new propane tank if you need one and service your existing one. This includes the basic inspections done at each delivery as well as requested maintenance and service to your bulk tank. While we do not install individual appliances, we may be able to help direct you.

In order to create your online MyAmeriGas account, you will need your account number. New customers can find their account number on their paper bill, or by calling customer service at 1-800-263-7442. Once you have created an MyAmeriGas online account you will also be able to access your account number anytime from your online account.
You can pay your AmeriGas bill online, easily! Start by logging into your MyAmeriGas account. If you do not already have a MyAmeriGas online account you can quickly create one using your account number and zip code. Once logged in, use the "Pay Bill" link at the top of the screen or the blue "Pay Bill Now" button on your account homepage. Next you will be alerted that you will be moved to a third party site to make payments, use the blue "Continue" button to continue. From there, under the "Open Bills" tab select your outstanding bill and click "Pay Bill". You will be also be able to look at your payment history and invoices from this screen.
