As a patient with a spinal surgery the nursing staff and the CNA’s were very polite and understanding. They were about to help easy my rehab without making me feel like a burden. The facility was very clean and organized and everything that one would need. During my stay and rehabbing the team that was in my unit always kept a great attitude given the circumstances.

I have personally been in to see my mother every single day for almost two months. The staff have cared for my mother with their whole hearts. From all the nurses to the doctors and admins. I can’t express how much I appreciate how well they’ve taken care of my mother. I trust them over any other I have trusted to watch over her. They love the people that are there and do more than I could ever do. They are angels sent from heaven. I hope one day I can show them some token of my undying appreciation and love I have for them

Everyone hears awful stories about nursing facilities, and I want to let people know about the wonderful staff at FVPA. After several surgeries and 2 months in the hospital my daughter was admitted to FVPA in December 2018. Our expectations were for her to be able to walk again and her mantra was, “I’m going to walk right out that door!” With the collaboration of some really devoted physical, occupational and speech therapist as well as some outstanding nurses and CNA’s they tied everything together and 5 weeks later she had regained her strength and walked right out the front door of the facility! All this was made possible thanks to the outstanding therapy team, nurses and CNA’s! The administration team and doctor advocated for my daughter as well, when on two occasions the insurance company was trying to stop paying and kick her out before she reached her rehab goals and the staff were able to appeal and get the decision reversed. The entire team went the extra mile for my daughter including the kitchen staff who accommodated her gluten and dairy free diet restrictions. Thank you all for your commitment, hard work and caring attitude!

I spent a week just recently and I have to say they did an awesome job with my rehab. My carers were attentive and were there when I needed them. The nurses did everything they could to make sure I was taken care of and answered any questions or concerns that I had. Both my PT and OT made a huge difference in my mobility. The food was actually quite fine with me and the selection was good for each meal. These people work hard and long hours and I never had a problem with any one. There were many hugs and well wishes on check out day. A little kindness goes a long way. Thank you, Fort Vancouver Post Acute!
