The atmosphere is very home-like. I love the feeling you get when you are in the community. The resident's are always smiling and happy, and the food is great!

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a couple of years ago. I tried so hard to keep her with me but as her disease worsened it became so hard to deal with her and her issues. I searched for a home to place her in and found what I think is the best place anyone with this heartbreaking disease could be safe in and well cared for. From the office staff to the care givers to everyone that works for Pacifica, these are some of the most caring and concerned people I have met. My mother has changed so much in the short time she has been living there, I have seen an improvement in her attitude and yes even in her health. She gets involved in the activities they have for their residents whereas when she was still living with me she didn't want to do anything. So as I said before...this is the very best place and I am so glad they take such good care of my mom.

You guys are always helpful and caring. The funnest and liveliness place I’ve seen. Not a senior living facility that’s down and low and you can see it in the residents faces. Happy people and good atmosphere!! Both staff and people who live here. Hope your around when I finally need somewhere to go!! Wish I can give them a 10 out of 10 to be honest!

What is the best time to visit so as to cause the least disruption to her routine? Do I need to call first? How long a visit would be optimal? Anything else I should know? Thank you.

Mid morning and mid afternoon was my best times to visit. Depends on condition of resident.

My Sister has recently joined your community. In your opinion should I give her time to acclimate before visiting? If so how long would you suggest? Do I need to telephone her through your "switchboard", or is there a number to call her directly?

I would suggest you not visit for a few days in order to let her acclimate to her new setting. In order to call her, you dial into the main number and then they will transfer your call to the appropriate cottage. Staff will pick up the call and then bring your sister to the phone.
