This museum hasn't been open that long, but it's such a gem. A Norwegian family drove up at the same time I did. I used their phone to take a picture of them. Believe only one spoke English but we were able to communicate just fine. A couple from England also toured. They do ask for donations, but no one twisted my arm. The guy behind the counter was very informative and walked around in the building answering questions, etc. There is on room dedicated to veterans from the area. The museum isn't so large that it's overwhelming. Just the right size to me. I did learn that Milnot, the canned milk was invented in Litchfield by a creamery there. Also Chili Man Chili was also invented by the same creamery. It's a must stop if you like history or anything to do with the Mother Road. Don't forget to walk across the street and eat at the Ariston Cafe. It's been open since 1924.

Nice place, free admission is nice. Leave a donation because all those collections have to be maintained. I wish it was a little bigger with more displays. Definitely worth stopping by to see.
