I would definitely call GreenLight Solar if you are interested in seeing if it works for your home and situation. I just got my first utility bill since having solar installed on my home and was quite pleased it was exactly what GreenLight Solar had told me. Thanks to Mason and the entire installation team, it was fast, professional and affordable. I look forward to many more months of no utility bills!

We contacted this company as we had a referral for him and the person Mason was very rude. Customer service is important and within seconds of communicating he basically yelled at me for calling him 4 times and we did call 2 times without ever getting someone to answer the phone, then he assumed that we called previously and we never had called him before. Small Mom and Pop organization with no other person to answer the phones.. There are many folks to do business with in the Vancouver area and we found 2 other companies to assist the customer that displayed professionalism and were a much bigger organization!!!

Greenlight Solar installed solar panels onto my home three and a half years ago. They did a fantastic job. One of my inverters went bad awhile ago and they took forever to replace it even though it was covered by warranty. For the money I spent I expected more.

I just had a 12kw system installed by Greenlight Solar and they did a great job. Dave Wood was a great salesperson and clearly explained everything. Their installers and office people were also outstanding. I had three different quotes for this job, and Greenlight Solar has proven to be the wise choice.

Questions & Answers

What would be approximate cost for roof replacement with solar panels after everything considered like tax , Federal benefit and Wa credit etc.?

The price can vary, depending on a lot of factors. Roof size limits the number of panels, as does economics: residential systems max out at 12Kw, then the payoff drops off dramatically. Then you have shade factors, roof condition, roof angle, roof orientation. Our quotes for a 12Kw system ran from $38,000 to $43,000. Our electric bill is noe $19 a month. Down from $300 some months, $150 normally. All electric home , with a sauna.

There are a few things to think about when considering if solar would be beneficial for your property. We ask these questions to see help us see if solar would work for you: 1.) Are you planning on moving in the next 5 years? The reason we ask this, is because your return on investment may take longer than 5 years. 2.) How old is your roof? If your roof is older than 15 years, we will inspect it and make sure we are able to install solar. *We do offer roof replacements if needed. 3.) Are you eligible for the Federal Tax Credit? If you are eligible for the federal tax credit, this is a great incentive to go solar! 4.) Do you have a south facing roof? This is optimal, but not necessary. We can also install solar panels directly in the ground known as ground mounts. 5.) Does the area you want to install solar receive plenty of sunshine on clear days? If there is little to no sunlight available on your property, then solar probably will not be beneficial for you. 6.) How much is your utility bill? If you are paying more than $100 a month for electricity, you may be a great candidate for solar.
