I mean - it was fine - I wanted a "nice" sandwich and they had one and it was good (BLT - bacon was perfect! Rest was textbook. Fries were tasteless.) But service was slow and uninterested in a solo diner sitting at the bar. I had to ask for almost everything and no one talked to me. I think it's more of a "make reservations to have lunch with your mother" kind of place than a real hidden gem.

What a delightful place to meet for dinner! Looking for a restaurant in Oak Park that we haven't tried, The Little Gem popped up with great reviews. Well, we were not disappointed! We were able to get a reservation on Open Table for the same night. Our cocktails were great, the servers were friendly and helpful (Jaime especially), and the food was delicious! Two of our group of four had the prime rib dinner, one had the seafood risotto, and I had the short ribs. All delectable! The dinners took a little longer to come to the table because the kitchen staff was tight, but our waiter kept us updated and we were in no hurry. We had dessert on the house because of the delay (much appreciated) and the Creme Brûlée was perfect! I'm putting this restaurant on my list of favorites, so we will be back!

Reserved a table for a small group of friends. Food very good, prices reasonable. The waiter was new to the job so there was some confusion in getting our orders straight. (It's difficult to any help these days.)

My favorite restaurant in Oak Park. Charming interior, live music, delicious food, attentive servers. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We had calamari, brie crostinis, rib eye steak and cheesecake. All spectacular.
