My wife and I attended today, we are from out of town. The priest (82 years old) is definitely in tune with God. What a Blessing to be present.
Galatians 6:17
Zero stars would be more accurate. No crucifix. Girl altar boys. Table instead of a real altar. Loud, disrespectful parishioners who clearly do not believe in the Real Presence. Loud talking before, during, and after "Mass" Don't like calling it Mass, but I guess it technically is. Really apathetic priest. Burned out, perhaps. Sad. Modernist, Protestant-style "liturgy". Utter trash which mocks our Lord. Any real Catholics here in Poulsbo, PLEASE take the extra 25 minutes and attend Our Lady Star of the Sea. It is a truly Catholic church.

St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo as well as St. Peter's Mission in Suquamish are headed by Father David Young. I love the welcoming, caring, non-judgmental and faithful community here. It feels like home. Father David's homilies are very thought provoking, insightful and Inspiring.

Very problematic church, Priest commented on 3 occasions during mass that people needed to leave the mass to go into the kitchen to prepare tacos. Obviously, the Priest does not believe that he is in the presence of God. We have written letters to the Priest with our concerns, but he is not so concerned with the concerns of concerned catholics. Other issues noted: Girl altar boys and no crucifix but there is an AWESOME buddy Jesus with his hugging arms ready to receive the taco fans. We live literally 3 minutes away from this church but choose to drive an additional half hour to attend a Holy Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Bremerton

I usually attend St. Peter's Mission in Suquamish on Saturday evenings, vut have also attended Mass at St. Olaf's. I am confused that you would question the faith of people who are attending Mass. If a service was noisy, perhaps it was because many parishioners bring their children. The Masses are no different than those I have attended in St. James Cathedral in Seattle and Catholic Churches in Arizona and New Orleans.
