Big trees in this rustic campground. Needs new toilets and some TLC.

Stayed at site A23 right along the river and it was beautiful! About a 5 min walk from The Blue Hole, great swimming spot for really hot days.

Know this going in, it's car camping, and there are no showers. The sites are large and we'll maintained, the camp hosts are awesome, and the river is amazing. Bring floats, swim gear, and plenty of beer!

This is a beautiful park with old growth trees and a river. It is has big sites and is located near Ohanapekosh and Packwood. We really love it here! It does not currently have flush toilets but it is worth it if you can live without that feature!

Yes you can they charge to much. And the bundles are small and you can't hunt for wood there.
Its 60% first come first serve. Shoot for A loop it's the better spots, a loop along the water is all first come first serve. You can also reserve other slots at recreation.gov
Fires should be fine during your weekend. There are fire rings. Later in the year campers will have to check with the Fire Service on fires. The camp host sells wood bundles, $6 each.
Well, Google Maps could tell you that... But you're basically on the base of it. Sunrise (closed until late Spring/early Summer) and Paradise are both within 30 minutes or so. Not far in miles, just slow drive time.

No it is only open seasonally. I believe it is open June through late September.
You can't get away from the door slamming generator running late comin noisy inconsiderate masses...I have been traveling and camping for about three weeks now ...I am disgusted with the rabble that go camping...good luck... J
I was there last week No food lockers My campsite was clean make sure to make a reservation for your spot bv they fill up quickly
Around 7pm the sun goes behind the Western hillside... Around 8 it's a good idea to grab a flashlight. I should also mention that's on a clear sky day...
Reservations may be made at www.recreation.gov or calling 1-877-444-6777
No, closed September 24
I don't know for sure but since you have to reserve online it should definitely tell you.
No showers available
It is $20 per night for a single tent site unless you have a National Parks Annual Pass and then there is a discount rate. You can call the forest service for information about fires, most of the time they are allowed but some bad years there have been bans. No ban when I went but that was in June.
I have Verizon and remember little to no service. However, service was good down the road in Packwood.
Check with the Forest Service office in Randle at 360-497-1100.
Beter to book and be guaranteed than take a chance.
We've never been too sure.. I think technically the s is supposed to be silent, but people from the area say wees, and as we currently live in WISconsin we prefer to massacre it by saying whis.. however as a general rule I like to consider the local pronunciation to be the most correct 🤔
not really. Those "sites" are literally off the side of the road. I think Ohanapecosh will have some larger spots
Yes
No. There are no cabins.
Always in WA state i believe
