Great place to stop if you are in the area. Food was delicious. Fries were hot and fresh. Fresh baked chocolate cake I got to go and was very good. The staff was very friendly. It felt like you walked into your families house for supper. It is a little pricey but for the area and the quality of food we'll worth it.

The BEST BBQ we've had in NC and we've been searching. My husband was so happy (and he's HARD to please). The staff was so nice and helpful. The chicken and brisket practically melted in our mouths. The sides were good, which is rare because most BBQ places focus on the meat! I had the ribs (chef's kiss). I really have no complaints. This will definitely be our go to spot for BBQ. It was worth the hour drive!

Took my kids there and it was a fun experience for them. I’d give five stars but we couldn’t find a clean table when we get there. The food was excellent and it came up so quickly as well.

I would consider myself a BBQ connoisseur. While City Barbeque was good it was nothing special; similar your typical BBQ chain like Dickey’s. I got the two meat sampler with brisket and turkey and green beans and a side salad. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich with a side salad and the corn pudding. It’s not a good sign when I asked my wife what her favorite thing was and she said it was the side salad. The turkey was moist and tender but the brisket was dry and had an weird pot roast taste. I am a huge SC mustard BBQ sauce fan and was glad they had it as an option. Unfortunately it was not very good. The sauce had very little mustard flavor and was too sweet. I tried my wife’s corn pudding and really like the flavor. It’s hard to justify spending $40 on something so bland. I think you can find better BBQ for a similar price such as Prime BBQ in Knightdale.
