Don Julio Mexican Restaurant

Don Julio's is our go to mexican restaurant. Our son decided he was buying ($70). We just picked up our order at 6pm. It was not correct. NO large cheese dip. NO chips. NO flour shells for the 2 ACPs. NO guacamole on Nachos Surpreme. We tried to call for 50 minutes now and goes straight to voicemail. Had to send an email to their listed email. For that much order should be made right. Still after 1 hour, straight to voice mail. It really surprised us.

We were a little nervous going in (it was a Saturday night with virtually no crowd, plus the sanitation rating is a little lower than we like). We were seated quickly and waited on quickly. Service - solid. Friendly, attentive, helpful. Awesome! Drinks - solid. Nothing amazing, but still quite good. Food - VERY good. The tableside guac (which isn't made tableside for some reason) was perfect. VERY good. We got tacos (very good, especially the pork one) and the "special plate" (good, more food than one person can eat, honestly!). Prices - VERY good. We will be back. We have been to better places in the greater Raleigh area but this will be on our short list of places we will look forward to visiting regularly.

2nd trip to Don Julio’s. With my wife this time. Salsa and chips are Wonderfull. My enchilada and taco had very wet beef. It ran out of the taco. 1st time I had fajitas. Generous portion. The wife’s chimichanga had a bad spice that she couldn’t pinpoint but did not enjoy it. This time our meal with margaritas were reasonable $30. Don’t eat at the bar, some locals are loud and have foul mouths. The restaurant has good decorations. But, due to negatives we will likely stay with Fiesta Mexican in Youngsville.

What can I say. Absolutely amazing food. Taste of true Mexican food at its finest. This will now be my number one spot to get Mexican food. Please keep up the great work on making amazing food
