Friendly staff, good location on the beach. Would have given it a higher rating except the mattress had a dip in the middle, but we were there only one night so we got over it. Otherwise everything was fine. Not a fan of Hampton Inn breakfast’s since lots of empty calories but hey, it’s included. Carolina Beach was very crowded, likely due to all the public access. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the Hampton Inn.

If I could give more than 5 stars for service I would. When we arrived, it was realized the reservation wasn't correct. I had wanted an ocean front room, but since I had made reservations with corporate, the corporate employee reserved the wrong type of room. The reservationist must have misunderstood. Shirley at the front desk was incredible working with us. She is absolutely fantastic and she is the type of employee every service oriented business should treasure. We were told management along with housekeeping helped make things possible for our stay. Thank you so much Shirley!!! Another front end employee who was very patient and helped with dining suggestions was Jeremy. He also took the time to follow up when we encountered him on the boardwalk outside. He gave a great suggestion for Carolina Smokehouse located on the boardwalk. There was another young man we encountered on the elevator, who I am sorry I didn't get his name, who I believe was maintenance or housekeeping, but was another employee who was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast employees were diligent in making sure everyone had enough food and were very friendly. Thanks to the employee in housekeeping who was able to get us a room ready. Thanks to everyone who made our trip a wonderful time. We appreciate everything.

This was our second time staying at this property. This is an example of a well-run hotel. All staff that we encountered were so nice and accommodating! Dustin at the front desk was so helpful and kind! Also, Lisa in the breakfast area was so sweet! She loved our kids, and they loved her! You can tell that she loves her job! Our room was perfectly clean, spacious and comfortable for our week-long stay! If you are thinking of staying here, look no further! Thank you Hampton Inn!! We will be back in October! Looking forward to it!

Fantastic location adjacent to the beach and boardwalk. Easy access to the pool, dining and shops. Pool was not heated so we could not enjoy it. I would recommend making note of this on the hotel page. Staff was great and breakfast was awesome (eggs, potatoes, bacon, cereal, waffles, bagels, juices... cant ask for more). The view was better than hotels I've stayed at that cost 4-6x more. A great hotel and I'll definitely be back. What a gem.
