I was afraid that “something for everyone” would mean dogs, sleds, snowshoers and snowmobiles would have ruined the XC ski trails here, but I was wrong. Had a glorious time on the Erling Stordahl trails designed to accommodate blind skiers. Did the Roller Coaster and Challenge Loop (which I quickly learned is one-way). The Challenge had me wishing I owned metal-edged Nordic backcountry skis, as it really is a challenge going down with the little control you get from groomed trail classic gear! Glad I survived to ski another day. Can’t wait to bring friends here to explore the more mild forest loop and other green trails together. Also looking forward to taking a Mountaineers tour from Meany Lodge, and renting gear from Trollhaugen Lodge. Other reviewers weren’t kidding when they said this was the best kept secret for cross country skiing near Seattle!

Skied at this location on Thu 1/14 and was disappointed in the grooming. The trails in the trees were flat groomed without any tracks for gliding. The Iron Horse Trail was not groomed at all! There were only tracks made by other skiers and not by machine as they have been in the past. Hope the rest of the season is better!

The second closest to Seattle sno-park after Hyak. It is a bit farther but good enough for crosscountry skiing, sledding, snowmobile riding, or even dogsledding. The skiing trail is a circle, but if you go to the east and it connects with Iron Horse trail (old railroad). 2hrs of slow stride and you will see the tunnel

Great place to play in the snow. Ski snow shoes and snowmobiles welcome. Their is also a place to go sledding. Beautiful views!

It’s a little gray but for overnight you should be just fine, even if it’s stated otherwise you shouldn’t be bothered due to the remoteness of the area, there’s no utilities so come in with everything you’ll need.
Parking lot is plowed but has lots of snow potholes so extremely bumpy.
You can get it off the Washington State park website. Look for sno-park passes.
Just the cost of a sno park pass which is free with Washibgton state snowmobile registration
Not sure, check the cams wsdot.com or they have a pretty good app wsdot. It might be slush until you get higher up, probably not the most enjoyable time to go.
just south of crystal springs snow park are electric towers and several trails for snow mobiles gold creek is more hiking and cross country skiing it will be open this winter
