Interestingly enough another user seemed to have an identical experience to ours. We had just left a local restaurant and went to cross the road on a legal crosswalk signal. Half way across the street an officer begins to turn into the crosswalk nearly hitting us. I grabbed the person I was with to stop them from getting hit and the officer proceeds to turn his lights on. He jumps out of his car and very aggressively proceeds to ID us, hand on his gun, as if we were wanted felons. I will be contacting his superior to file some form of complaint but I wanted to warn others of this behavior.

You were harassing me and missed out on the real crimes.. good job guys! I have lived in this town since 92. I helped build the ramps for the first skate park and worked extensively on getting the second park. My friends and i do what we can to help the park and keep the drug rats away as much as we can. Today im at the park putting a new skateboard togeter when an officer comes to my car and makes me get out and give him my Id. He says he's never seen me before so he's just checking me out. I tell him I have beens skating here since it opened 10 years ago, and have been parking in the same spot every time as well.. It's just silly. I'm an adult, setting up a skateboard and need to be checked out, but he doesnt even bother the goon kids at the gazebo who don't skate. Those kids do heroin and stuff like that but the guy with the skateboard is needing to be checked out.. Ok, so you checked me out, now go get those trouble making drug addict kids out of here please!! Leave the skateboarders at the skatepark alone and and go stop the kids from hanging out in the gazebo doing drugs and blowing up the bathroom sink.

Thank you once again for your kindness and dedication. Officer Sanchez is a gift to the community. There have been many other officers who have helped us along the way and we are so grateful to all of you.. I wish I'd kept track of names so I could call them out now as well, but please know how thankful we are to all of you. Forest Grove Police Department is The Best! Our city is lucky to have such wonderful men and women who work so hard and care so much.
