This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It felt like one of those rare, Narnia-esque experiences ---It's a place I likely won't get the chance to eat at again but will think of whenever I am confronted with Thai food. I had to make a trek down to Washougal, WA to pick up a special order at the Pendleton store. My mom and I decided to find a Thai restaurant on the way back. This place was unassuming, so I wasn't expecting much. I am so glad I was wrong. The service was friendly, courteous, and fast. The food was fresh and presented outstandingly well. Seriously, hip seattle joints should take notes from this place. The papaya salad looked like an actual work of art. I wasn't thinking I'd eat much, but I was so hungry and every dish came out so on point, that my appetite expanded. My mom and I split crunchy tofu, crab puff wontons, a papaya salad and tofu pad thai. We finished off the meal with the mango sticky rice served with ube ice cream. My pictures don't do these dishes justice, but you will know that once you see them for yourselves. You will not regret the trip to this store.

The service was excellent when my husband & I got take out on March 26th (our anniversary)! Our server was a very pleasant attentive woman (whose name I don't recall). She was very kind and provided us with spring rolls while we waited for our food. We have visited this restaurant a few times over the past 2-3 years and continue to patronize this business because of the quality of the food and the great service! :)

So this is the new tradition. Go to yard sales in the morning and when you can't look at one more box of Depends or one more rack of generic glassware, I cut the treasure route and look for good food. Seriously though, I find great stuff at Yard sales and don't want to insult the Yard Sale Gods... Seriously. There is no better way to end a day of treasure hunting than finding culinary gold, preferably broth. Kindee Thai has that homey welcoming look that so many places lack. nice colors, nice decor, plants. I don't understand why more Asian places don't do this. sometimes it seems like a choice to be as bland and unremarkable as possible. Kindee makes me want to come in, it makes me predisposed to like the meal, although I have been tricked in the past. Today I choose the Kao Soi, I love a good light curry and I love noodles like a madman loves the moon. First, the crispy noodles seem to come rioting up out of the bowl like tangle of wisteria vines. They guide the eye down into the brothy depths. The next impression is the bowl is too big, the broth looks a little lost in the great bath of a bowl. It's an illusion, there is plenty, but they should put it in a smaller bowl so it doesn't look so lonely. That being said, it's a great bowl of curry broth. The noodles deep down in the murky depths are nicely mixed and have good lift. Long slightly tangled chewy noodles that simply cry out for a good slurp. The curry broth is spot on. Perfect depth and richness, savory and slightly sweet. I can eat here again. They ask if I would like a touch more heat and bring me a nice little selection of hot condiments. That earns them points in my book. I prefer a red chili oil and often, if a place has hot sauce, it's just one kind. Yes my nose runs like a dog escaping the animal control truck, Like an old tent in a rainy wood. But not so hot I can't taste the curry, the crunch of red onion, the fresh lime. Jeez, I'm making. myself hungry again just thinking about it. Right down to the last ever-loving drop. It reminds me of my adventuring youth when I kicked around Asia on a hope and a dream. For so many years after those carefree days, you could not find good Thai, or Vietnamese anywhere this side of the globe... The same can be said for tea. In those days if you wanted a good cup of tea you had to leave the country. Thank you Kindee for a great lunch.

I have eaten here multiple times over the last 3 years and thought it is about time I wrote a review. Food and service are always consistently good. My favorites are the duck curry and the avocado green curry which I order most of the time. I have also tried the pad Thai and pad se ew which are both excellent. The only mediocre dish I tried several years ago was a dish with mussels which were not fresh. Friends and family have all enjoyed the dishes they ordered. For me , I would say this is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in the Portland-Vancouver area(Note that I have not eaten at all Thai restaurants in the area). Just my opinion. Fresh ingredients, good portions, good friendly service. I would highly recommend this place.

There is no sit down in the restaurant so they're only doing takeout. They require masks and there are markers on the floor to indicate social distancing but they look less than 6 feet apart
