Our 16 year old miniature schnauzer started declining pretty quickly with mobility issues and dementia with panic. It was obvious he was suffering and unhappy and we had no more medical options to try, so we made the difficult decision to euthanize him. Of course, this was over the 4th of July weekend. Our vet could not accommodate him until late afternoon of the 5th, but we didn't want to wait that long so we took him to Blue Pearl in Brandon. We called ahead and every person we interacted with was extremely compassionate. You could tell they really felt for us and understood our pain. They have a special quiet room that's nicely decorated with a sound machine and a call button, and they let you spend as much time before and after as you want. They placed a good IV with a long extension line, so we were able to keep our pup on my husband's lap, where he was most comfortable. Someone put a lot of thought into these types of things and while it was absolutely horrible for me, I appreciate that they made it the best it could be. We got his ashes back in just two days and they were very kind again to my husband when he went to pick them up. The staff there have a very difficult job and I will always be grateful they helped us do the last, best thing we could do for our best buddy.

My dog needed to be seen on a Sunday. I called and they said “of course you can bring your baby in.” I showed up with my golden retriever and my 5-year-old daughter (my hands were full.) The staff were all so friendly to all of us. The vet tech who helped us was great with both my dog and my daughter. Dr. Emma Byers was knowledgeable and so friendly. She even gave us a “prescription” (water) for my daughter’s stuffed animal puppy she brought in. The vet tech (so sorry I forgot her name!) explained the instructions for my daughter to administer her puppy’s medicine. Great experience all around and our REAL dog is feeling much better!!

I've had mediocre experiences at Blue Pearl in the past by my last experience has completely changed my mind. My 11 month old Groenendael began to show acute symptoms of some sort of toxicity. He was disoriented, agitated, drooling profusely and had trouble staying awake. I could not begin to imagine what he had gotten in to. I went to another corporate E-clinic around the corner and promptly left once they wanted to argue about parvo on a fully vaccinated, well maintained adult dog. I was afraid he was going to die in their parking lot by the time they got done messing around with their moronic parvo non sense. Blue Pearl began working on him immediately and big shocker.... no mention of parvo being on the table since he had no symptoms of parvo. The receptionist were friendly, empathetic and worked quickly. The tech and the attending vet were patient, thoughtful and actually listened to what I was saying. This is the first time I have EVER felt heard at ANY small animal vet. The estimate was throughly gone over and I was given multiple treatment plans. He was treated and released on the time line they estimated. He has recovered and is doing great!!

I won't go into much detail here, but the staff that took care of my sick animal short notice this evening were exceptionally kind. Several people were involved in my pet's care and all gave me the impression that they were knowledgeable, sincere, and wanted only the best for my pet. I also overheard other staff members that were uninvolved in our care while they spoke to other pet owners. They appeared to demonstrate all of the qualities I mentioned as well. Highly recommend, their services are worth being patient for.
