I have been a proud employee of Prestige since 2012. This location is their corporate office, so no caregiving occurs here, but rather at the numerous assisted livings and skilled nursing facilities across multiple states. Honestly, this company is well-run by people who are obviously in the business because they care. The people at Corporate are friendly and helpful, and it’s obvious they enjoy coming to work every day, despite how stressful the work can be! This is, hands down, the best corporation I’ve ever worked for, and I appreciate everything the central support office does for me, my coworkers, my building, and my patients.

my mother has lived at Spruce Point in Florence, OR since Feb.1 2016. I have to say there are so many wrong issues with this facility. For over $4300. per month she gets a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment, meals that are scrunched into the time period from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. so they won't have to pay wait staff any more than they absolutely have to. She also gets her linens and towels washed i time per week and her garbage emptied 1 time per week. No personal laundry for this price. Luckily she has me to go in and do her personal laundry, which sometimes takes up to 3 hours to accomplish 1 load as often the washing machines are either occupied and the dryers are not maintained. It has taken as long as 2 hours to dry a load because the dryer vents (the tube ones are not cleaned out (also a fire hazard) The meals are definitely sub-par...highly institutionalized. When her bed is made there is often trailing bedclothes...on the floor enough to trip someone unsteady on their feet..it is like the staff has not been trained to be aware of potential hazards or else they don't give a rat's ass. They feed high starch meals and plenty of desserts. Somehow they are able to keep a handful of loyal employees (not a lot of job opportunities in Florence, Or.) The heating units are very loud. When she first moved in, her call light did not work...it didn't light up at the front desk...she had to crawl to her door and open it with a shoe horn and yell for help to get up off the floor. (Her neighbor heard her and used her call light to get attention of the staff. They have since issued alert pendants to all the residents; but the help says they don't like them. The employee turnover rate is extremely high...they always have their 'Now Hiring" flags up and waving. One of the problems is that there is absolutely no competition in this community, so they are able to gouge the residents. And it seems that Prestige is unable to keep a steady or enough staff. I definitely think this is a corporate issue. I don't know what you want your profit margin to be, but you are not really doing a very satisfactory job and your rates are absolutely too high. Since moving in there have been 5 different executive directors. It is ridiculous to even have them...they seem to provide no function. From what i can see they are a drag on the whole operation. This is a red flag that something is wrong "in corporate". There is an extremely high level of dining room server turnovers. There a few longtime exemplary employees, one of them being Annette Holm, the activities director. She is a saint and has worked at Spruce Point for 21 years. Also the head and i think almost only housekeeper Nora has served dutifully for a long while. The toilet paper provided is not even up to public campground grade. I have to buy decent t.p. and remove what is provided for use at our summer campground. I think i would be moving my mother to a different assisted living place if there were any other available in this city. I do not want to move her 60 miles away. All in all, Spruce Point is not HORRIBLE, but definitely not great either. One more thing...the hallway down my mother's corridor has not been vacuumed in a long while...i still see the same little flecks of sheetrock lying in exactly the same position for almost 2 months now

Worst experience of my life. I went in after spinal surgery, & after the first day I knew it was going to be a tough experience, but I didn't expect this. First, the building looks like a ruin down ww2 hospital. Nothing there works, there is literal crap on every bathroom floor & toilets that never gets cleaned. Not a single paper towel dispenser works, & they randomly shut all the water off to save on expenses. The rooms are all shared. The food is terrible even compared to school lunches in public school. There are always 2 options, which you have to ask for before every meal to get something different, which ends up always being a ham & American cheese sandwich. Then there is the staff and let me tell you, this is by far the worst part of this hell hole. Not only only are %99 of them are extremely rude, but they don't seem to care about anyone here. You have to practically beg for any of your medications, which you get 1 1/2 hours later... Sometimes. There were sometimes I'd ask for a medication, for which they responded with a lie about my dr canceling that medicine, even when I had a list of all my meds so I know the truth. One time I even was called a liar right to my face by a nurse who forgot a medication & didn't wanna make a second trip. The social services lady there instead of listening to me, cut me off at ever sentence to defend the horrible staff then accused me if only being there for the pain meds, told me she didn't see me being there for any other reason asked me if she could right me a pain script & discharge me because she didn't want to deal with my concerns. This is the real prestige. Please use extreme caution when deciding where to get your care. These people are mean, rude & shouldn't be handling care for anyone.

The care I get in the living section is excellent, and I have zero complaint about any of the care givers. My complaint is with the management and the administrative supervisor, Tracy Delano. She has changed the food and menus to the point that most of the food is horrid, tasteless and badly prepared. She listens to complaints or criticisms but ignores them and takes no action, in fact most of the time she will redirect the conversation to distract you from what you are talking about. We used to have a choice of two entrees each meal plus some alternatives if you wanted them instead. Now she is down to one entree or day and all other choices are to be made from the alternative menu which consists mainly of items that I do not consider balanced meals. At times the menu is repetitious dirt get one week, I.e., chicken four times and fish four times, that is ridiculous! She claimed that all meals are approved by a nutritionist, whoever that must be in her imagination because no one in their right mind would consider the food here balanced nutrition. She has decided that one of the residents needs to leave, and has served a thirty day eviction notice, citing that she is afraid of him. He had called In a state agency to report the awful food and menus, she came totally unglued and served him! The man is loud, and is very good at stating his opinion to all, however he is not violent, in fact he would probably not be able to be violent without causing himself harm as he has major heart problems and his heart works at less than fifty percent! She has taken one of the male caregivers to be her body guard, he sits in the lobby all day and follows her around the building. We are always short of caregivers and someone has to take up the slack while he does nothing. She is probably paying his normal salary also. I believe that she is paranoid, and is trying to make the eviction served gentleman look bad. She does not need a body guard! I have only been here about three months and have watched the dining room go down to being worse than army food or prison food. She acts like she is doing us a favor, and is very condescending about the way she talks to residents. She talks to us like we were either idiots or three year olds. We are all fully aware of our surroundings and what is going on, we are not all senile and stupid. Tracy needs to be taken away somewhere else or fired, she is not management material at all. Plus she treats the caregivers very badly. Please do something about this.

I would recommend contacting the payroll department. That seems to be a payroll question after all.

Does the $500 pet fee remain the same even for a bird in a cage?
