I had the number 5, the carne con chile verde, it was above average. The wife had the abondegas...it was pretty good. The margarita and guacamole were good. For a Thursday night the wait was 50+ minutes, I am guessing due to staff shortage because when we sat down about 1/3 of the seating inside was empty.

Very authentic, delicious, friendly, and colorful. The staff is here to help and have fun with you. The food is akin to homemade. Variety of soups is impressive. Dishes prepared went fresh ingredients and that reflects in the flavor of the food. Margarita is delicious and packs plenty of punch. Visiting Tucson and we are very happy we stumbled upon this spot.

Mi Nidito is one of Tucson's most recognized Mexican restaurants. It is so well known that even the President of the United States ate here! If you are hungry enough, order the Presidential Plate! Be prepared to wait! The wait time can be very long, but the food is worth it! It is not a very large restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice. I had the Birria Chimichanga enchilada style. My wife had the flautas. We were extremely pleased with the dinners! Servings were generous. The rice was even above average. I have been wanting to eat here for quite some time and finally decided to simply go and wait to be seated. It is located in South Tucson a short distance south of 22nd Street.

Good Mexican food, although if it weren't for all the publicity and hype, I feel as though it would be yet another family-run restaurant in Tucson. That being said, the food was good, and the margaritas were GREAT! The portions were large, which is much appreciated given the price, and the cheese-stuffed chili relleno was very good. I got the combination plate #1, and my s/o got the President's Plate. Both were good, and all the food came out hot. I would highly recommend either of these plates to everyone, and also would like to recommend their frozen peach margarita... excellent and have an extremely smooth taste (likely due to its potentially low alcohol content) and appealing presentation. I do recommend this restaurant, and respect its history. This is an easy recommendation to anyone in the Tucson area!

They do answer; however, sometimes it takes awhile because they're ALWAYS busy. And, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
They do not take advance reservations. You have to be at the restaurant.
Social distancing while waiting, distancing between tables for dine in. Staff wears masks at all times. Patrons wear masks when not eating or drinking. Hand sanitizer is available around the restaurant.
There food is worth the wait
Yes they do. Tacos and enchiladas are made with corn tortillas. You can also have rice, beans, meat, avacado salsa, cheese and sour cream......lots of options. Great staff. Love this place. Go there all of the time.
