We love the Chemeketa library system! We can order books from any of the 18 libraries. Huge variety of books and media. Super friendly librarians. Each of the libraries have their own operating hours, so if one is closed, another one nearby is probably open. The libraries in this system also have free passes for local tourist spots. This library system fines for overdue materials, and the fines are reasonable. All residents of Polk, Marion and Yamhill counties can get access to free cards, however if you live outside of the city limits of your local library you are limited to 10 items or you can pay a yearly card fee. All materials can be renewed online or through the CCRLS app.

Questions & Answers

Can I check out a book that is not in the ccrls catalog?

Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service | Aug 16, 2021

Great question. Short answer is 'yes'. You're referring to what libraries call 'interlibrary loan' (ILL). Unfortunately, ILL services are currently not being offered due to pandemic-related closures. We hope to have that service available again soon. Please keep in contact with your local CCRLS member library for updates.

can I print papers from my lap top?

Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service | Aug 16, 2020

Thanks for your question, Yuri. Some of our member libraries offer printing options over their wireless network. Since the answer will depend on which library you are visiting, I'll have to refer you to that library for a definitive answer. Here is a list of our member libraries, in case you need it: https://ccrls.org/home/member-libraries/

Thanks for your question about our digital audiobooks. You can checkout/download most of those titles using either the standard Overdrive app or Overdrive's newer app - 'Libby'. These apps are available to both iOS (Apple) and Android devices.

I have an old library card that Overdrive does not recognize. It's hard for me to get into our library. Can I get my card renewed without going in? The number is 2 3610 00300 2648 Thank you. Carol

Thank you for your question, Carol. We recommend getting in touch with the staff at your home library to renew/update your account; they may be able to do so without a trip to the library.
