Got in and out fairly quick. They have a QR code you can scan while in line to check you in, makes it a little easier. They’ll try to get you to buy additional coverage, honestly it’s up to you if you want it. I got a small compact car. They also have nicer cars available like a Tesla or a Toyota Rav. Car was clean and easy to drive. Getting out of the parking took some time since they have to check you out. When we were done we just dropped off the car and that was it.

We landed late in the evening, and were handed the keys to a small SUV, I had requested a full size sedan (they called it an upgrade). As we exited the garage close to closing my 10yo son stated "this car smells". I took a few deep breaths and realized the car smelled of stale cigarette smoke. It was too late to take it back that night and I had a 90 mile drive still to go. The next day I spent 2 hours trying to reach a real person on the phone, no luck. I left a message for the manager on duty and received a reply 6 hours later. The manager apologized and said I would not be charged a cleaning fee. Excuse me? How about you offer me a different car (I would have driven the 180 mile round trip to be rid of that smell). On the day of my return (five days in a car that smelled like a dive bar) it started to rain, and you guessed it, the driver side wiper blade is torn. No big deal, I bought a new one and replaced the old one, keeping the receipt and the bad blade to show them at the counter. We got to the return counter 2.5 hours before our departing flight and I tried to hand the blade and receipt to the Hertz person checking the car in. I was told I had to go to the Thrifty counter, so off we went. The lady at the Thrifty counter informed me that there was nothing they could do to reimburse me for the wiper blade since I had prepaid for the car through a third party. OK fine so issue me a refund to my card, nope that is against policy. They gave me a $100 voucher for another rental (this rental was about $500) and took my receipt again without apologizing for the smoky car. Upon my return I left feedback via the customer response portal, and was told I had to provide the receipt, when I told them I had given it to the agent at the counter they offered to send me a $50 voucher that would expire in three months. It is not about the money for the rental at this point, I want the $18.96 I spent on windshield wiper and a legitimate apology for even sending that car out. TL,DR They gave me a car that reeked of cigarettes and tried to pay me off with $150 in vouchers to a rental car company I will never use again.

Absolutely horrible & not worth attempting hoping you get a deal! I was hesitant reading the reviews to rent a car from Thrifty because they ranged from good to terrible. I thought people may have exaggerated the truth, but the company is not run well and the bad reviews are true! We waited 3 hours to get our car in the freezing cold parking lot.. They didn't supply a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive car so we could drive in the snow for our trip, even though we called well in advance to confirm and ensure notes were given. On top of that, they overcharged us and when we addressed it at the rental return they said the transaction has already been done so there was nothing they could do. All around, this is the worst experience I've had renting a car & I will not be returning. I'm writing this so other people don't run into the same problems we did. Please use another rental company!.. A company that will be transparent about their charges & will assist you when there has been a problem and make it right. I recommend spending a little more some place else to ensure you get the service you deserve!

Recently flew into SeaTac heading to Leavenworth, WA. I had rented an AWD vehicle through a third party, but was told availability was 0. My service representative Vu was very understanding that I absolutely needed an AWD vehicle to reach my destination, Leavenworth safely. He found an AWD Kia Sorrento for my wife and I. This vehicle was perfect. Thank you Vu for being a superstar and understanding what was needed to make our trip amazing! I look forward to my next travels with Thrifty.

I would have a big Truck or a economy car. But I didn't take it. I got a beat up Ford Escort. 10 days $912.45
Call. I had to do that myself and it wasn't an issue

You would atleast need a paper temporary license.
Just let them know in advance and it should be ok.
There's a shuttle that takes you the checkout counter
Varies. Per vehicle but usually 1/4-1/2 of the trip total
There isn't one. You cannot get through to anyone on their main line either.
Large rental companies ( Avis, Budget, etc) include insurance to Canada in your regular fees, but smaller or local companies don't. So just check with your rental company prior. I was there in Nov got a rental to cross into BC. Another tip: check with your visa or Mastercard, you can waive some insurance charges because you are covered (up to certain liability), but need to print out a certificate (call your credit card company and ask if you have this perk, then ask your car rental company if they take it).
You need driver license and some take a credit card with the ID
One bus for all the companies, they're all in one building
Thank you very much Michelle
I think it would be ok. They have plenty of cars.. call to be sure though.
No. If u return to same location, there is no fee. There is only a drop fee if u return to a different location.
Hi there, When you rent the car, you ask Thrifty agent the same question and they will help you for sure. But i don't think there are extra rwnt charges anyway. Nonetheless, i suggest you ask for the EasyPass to stick in your windshield when you rent the car, and this should take care of road toll charges. I hope that was helpful. Regards
Most rental car companies will not guarantee a specific make and model. Large SUV category for something like a Jeep. A Dodge Challenger would probably be a specialty car. Not sure on that one.
It is unlimited mileage
