Matthew did a great job repairing a strange, possibly homemade used surfboard that sustained damage in a cross-country move. He gave me a detailed assessment of the damage when I brought it in, discussed his plan for fixing it, and did it all for an incredibly reasonable price. He even matched the strange colors to camouflage the repair work better than I would have imagined to be possible. It did take a month to complete the work, which was not surprising for a busy time of year and one of the only (the only?) place in the city that does this kind of work, but it was ready exactly when he estimated it would be. My only regret it that I didn't get to thank him in person when I picked it up. Hopefully I won't need any more boards repaired any time soon but if I do I will definitely come back here.

I had a paddle boarding lesson with the owner Kim a few days ago and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gorge Performance if you are looking to improve or learn new paddling skills! I’ve kind of flown by the seat of my pants teaching myself how to paddle board a couple years ago and have gotten away with it since I have good balance. But I wanted to level up my skills and speed and Kim was just amazing! We covered so much in just one hour and I have already seen a difference in my speed and dexterity on the water since then. She also generously covered my parking fee since I didn’t realize there was a charge at the park and didn’t have the correct tender on hand. Thank you so much for your help and knowledge Kim!

This place is gem. Not only was the staff super down-to-earth helpful, but they were also incredibly thoughtful. I was visiting Portland from out of town and didn't want to pull my old 4runner out of parking where i was staying in dtown Portland. And I wanted the new OneWheel PintX so I could tour the city. I called ahead, and the sweetheart that answered the phone said they had one and that she would hold it for me. So, I threw on my running shoes and my pack, and ran to their location near the waterfront. (The trails to get their was amazing btw). When I arrived, they already had the box out, waiting for me, and Matt let me charged my new Wheel on location, so that I could just ride it back to my hotel (had so much fun jammin' the waterfront trails back... was a dream ride) So happy to see that true board shops still exist.... I would definitely recommend you check this one out. They gave me a discount on my fender, so was super stoked about that and the entire experience....oh...and the new Pint X is amazing btw . sincerely, C

Purchased a used/demo SUP sight-unseen. Gorge took super good care of me - great communication from everyone I spoke with and very helpful to my friend when he picked it up. I really can't imagine how my experience with them could have been better.
