What a great store! My wife and I bought new complete setups at a great price. They competitively price thier boards and really think about the customers and first time skaters looking to buy a new board. I bought my first setup at their Original location in 1997. They are locally owned, have great prices and have the most down to earth folks running the place. We feel like me made new friends after my wife and I visited. We have new decks and some new show ideas on Netflix shows to watch.

Before visiting Portland for the weekend I researched skate shops and knew we were definitely going to try to make it in to Cals skate and surprise our son with a new set up! Skip and the others helped him pick out and put together his newest board and also find a pair of new shoes! Everyone was really great & made us feel like we were regulars there! We will definitely be return customers on our next trip up North! The Worlds oldest skate shop is a MUST to check out! Thank you guys for helping make our sons day!

Amazing experience at Cal Skate today! I wanted to try skateboarding again after a 20 year hiatus. My husband has used Cal Skate for all his skate needs in the past, and their Google reviews were great so we headed on down there today and we were not disappointed! I forgot to ask the name of the guy that helped me, but from the second I walked in they were welcoming and eager to help me build out a deck. We started by trying different deck sizes, and then picking out decks. When they brought this fairy deck I knew she was the one for me! Then when we were building out everything else the employee was super excited to show me different components that would look cute with my board and THEY NAILED IT! I've never seen anything like this out there, and it totally screams "me." I'm really grateful that Cal Skate is welcoming to everyone regardless of skill level, age, or anything else. Really chill vibe and knowledgeable employees. We will continue to shop here and I totally recommend you get your next deck here! Thanks for the lovely experience!!!!

In our current stock we have over 600 different decks to choose from. They vary from microscopic local brands to the national and international giants. We are always bringing in the newest brands and the most limited edition decks as well. Come on down, we have something perfect for you.
They have been taking all the standard precautions ( masks, distance, sanitizer ) every time I go in. Your safer in there more than at Freddies in my opinion.
