I would post zero stars if it were an option. Too whom was I going to report staff problems? There apparently was no manager on duty. I reserved a King suite through a 3rd party, I was given a Queen, I was still being charged for a King and was told that I needed to contact the 3rd party to correct the issue. The clerk did not seem to care and told me that the manager's decision was final. This is not a 3rd party problem, this is the hotel's problem. Not being one to reward improper and unethical behavior, I did not stay. Nor will I be staying here in the future. We all need to let Hotels know that THEY will be held responsible for overbooking, giving away reservations, and any other issues that THEY create, not the 3rd party sites. If it is a 3rd party issue, maybe THEY should stop doing business with the 3rd party.

We have stayed at Hampton Inns for years and have had great accommodations. We were really disappointed with this one in Salt Lake City. The room was nice but we had a very squeaky bathroom door that we asked to be fixed after our first night. It still squeaked on our second night. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean We got to breakfast late our first morning and items were limited but we thought it was because we were eating at 9:00. The second morning we were down by 7:45 (on a Friday) and the breakfast was VERY limited. They were out of syrup, sausage, yogurt, English muffins, and fresh fruit. There were post it notes posted apologizing for not having items but I couldn't help but wonder why a staff member couldn't run to the local grocery store to get some syrup? We have stayed at Hampton Inns during Covid and have had better grab and go breakfasts. We always try to stay at a Hampton Inn because they are known for great accommodations and breakfasts but now I'm not so sure.

My truck is being repaired so I checked in and was treated professionally by Sydney. She made sure I was getting the best rate. The room was perfectly clean, the hot tub and pool was great for relaxing and the breakfast was better than most, included eggs, bacon, waffles. If you need a place to stay for a few days while you are in Salt Lake City, stop by and see Sydney and she will take great care of you!

The room was beautiful, the staff was fantastic. The only "minor" thing was that the fridge that held the milk/apple juice/orange juice was turned up a bit too high, so my wife and I had some delicious orange juice snow cones with our continental breakfast. Will definitely be staying there again.
