If I could give more stars I would. I love this store. Every visit is such a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Maybe the girl behind the counter and I just have a similar taste in games, but I feel like we could talk forever! Haha. I had a bit of sticker shock on some games and items. But when I looked them up online, I realized Double Jump is actually slightly lower than online pricing! Boy have older games gone up. I think what I was most impressed with is their customer service. The staff really seems to want you to connect with the games you're looking for. Having a great wishlist system, repair guys, and they are so transparent in pricing. If you're into games new or old, or are looking to buy a gift for a gamer in your life. This is a trustworthy and friendly store.

Great used/retro game store! Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Store so well maintained that it inspired me to start collecting retro games! Also the pricing is very reasonable; not as cheap as buying online, but you also get it same day, and know the quality for a fact.

So I wanted this review to be good, there's plenty of parking store is clean, staff is friendly, decent game selection. But when I got my receipt it showed nothing but zeros. Seems like a scam buyers beware. I will not be returning to this store anytime soon. You will see the notes below by the owner, none of those things I did, I paid with cash at the time of sale.

This place is without a doubt the best all around video game store in the Portland/Vancouver area. It is run by 3 young avid gamers/collectors who love all things video games. The employees are Cooper, Abbey and Ryan. They are all super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of all sorts of games including NES, SNES, N64, Virtual Boy, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, Switch, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Atari, Genesis, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and many many others. They also have a decent selection of consoles and handhelds. There are tons of accessories for all different systems and they carry lots of unique things like random collectibles, VHC, DVD, Blue-Rays, misc electronics like MP3 players, as well as Toys, statues, plushies and much more. Overall they have an amazing inventory with new stuff coming in all the time. Speaking of which they offer trade ins. You can choose cash or store credit, both are typically pretty fair but it depends on the games or item. For example I remember before the pandemic they offered me $10 total for Wii Sports and Wii Sports resort. That price was low but mainly because at the time they had dozens of copies of each. I ended up going to GameStop that same day and got $24 for those 2 games. However that same day I also traded in several DS and 3DS games to Double Jump and they gave me way more than what GameStop would have given me. So yes they do have very fair and good trade in prices but it depends on the item and how interested in it they are. You may also be able to negotiate with them which is something you can’t do at places like GameStop. Regarding the prices for games themselves they are also fair. They do follow price charts pretty closely. I tend to only buy less expensive games because the more expensive games I can usually hunt down for cheaper. Overall this store is amazing and I love it! Definitely visit this place whenever you are near and always stop here before going to GameStop. COVID UPDATE part 1: Website, Shipping, and Pickup. I came across Double Jump in January of 2020, had no idea they had been here for 2 years. I made a few purchases and trades, then shortly after the pandemic hit. They closed the store down before Washington went into lockdown and required non-essential business to close. During this time they took the opportunity to redo their entire inventory system and store layout as well as launching a website! They’re website doublejumpvideogames.com offers shipping and local pickup. While the website is far from optimized on mobile it is completely sufficient and I have made many purchases for local pickup during the pandemic. COVID UPDATE part 2: Grand Re-Opening. On August 1st, 2020 Double Jump Video Games reopened their retail store to the public. They spent the entire time in lockdown redoing the store and changing inventory systems and it is incredible. The majority of the photos I posted are from August 1st the day they reopened. They are taking the proper safety measures including social distancing, masks and only letting in a certain amount of people. They also offer masks and hand sanitizer. All employees had masks on and were just as friendly as ever. They are doing trade-ins once again and the store just looks great. It is so much cleaner and better organized than before, they have a wider selection of items and it’s so much fun to browse through. Final Update: It’s 2022 and I work here now. And I’m technically bias now, but…. the store has only gotten better and better. I have personally worked on reorganizing almost every part of the store and it just keeps improving.

I know that they have a repair guy that fixes electronics for them & stuff so they should be able too.
Take your items up to the counter and ask if they are buying. They will look through their system and give an offer for either cash or credit to be used in the store. They do get busy pretty quick, so it may be a good idea to ask how they're doing on trade volume for the day.
At this time we only do basic repairs such as NES 72 Pin replacements and Battery Changes on cartridge based games.
Consoles can only be purchased in-store. We don't offer shipping on them, sorry.
Masks are required to enter. We have free masks and hand sanitizer at the door and register for anyone who needs it. Maximum of 6 people in the store at a time to allow for social distancing.
If you purchase on our website (for shipping or store pick up) you can pay with paypal or debit / credit.
We don’t typically have them. Nothing currently, but if someone traded in a PlayStation VR, we would take it.
Yes we do! Feel free to bring them by during our open hours and we can take a look. We can pay in cash or in store credit. Store credit will be a bit more, but both options are available at this time.
$2.50 each, or $2.25 each if you get 10+ at the same time. We can't do any blu-ray, so no PS3, PS3, Xbox One, or Wii U.
This is definitely the best retro video game store around! It's the only one i go to anymore in Vancouver and Portland because his prices and selection are the best around!
Yes they sell Gameboys. The price depends on the model. They have everything from the original to modern
Depending on the model the Game Boys will range from 24.99 and up! Come on in and check out the stock we have
