Just a hot mess of packed bodies. The organizers need to learn about headcounts and fire marshalls. This event is a disaster waiting to happen.

A big disappointment. All the food vendors served the same basic Mexican dishes at an extreme upcharge. Paid $5 for Elotes. It was boiled as they didn’t have the grill ready yet (this was 2 hours after the place had already opened). Every vendor was just as expensive as the next. $10/person to get in and you can’t bring any water or outside food or drink with you. I get the food, but water?? Really? They sold bottles of water for $5 in the event. Might be fun for kids and such but plan to pay an arm and a leg for subpar Mexican food and entertainment. We stayed for an hour and saw everything.

Portland Cinco!!!! Ahhh I love this event. First of all, it really feels like it kicks off spring right and it almost feels like summer. I love bringing my nieces and taking them on all the carnival rides. The ballet dancers are amazing as well. I will be there this year supporting my favorite salsa band Conjunto Alegre. I think they perform Sunday around 7:30!

I was having a good time with friends when I was kicked out of a photo booth at the Old Time Photo with friends. I was half naked when I had the curtain opened on me exposing me to the public by one of the male employees. When I asked why he would not explain to me though I asked politely. Regardless of my personal comfort and feelings he refused to talk to me and had the police called. My male friends had only tried to take a selfie which we now understand was against the rules. When called out my friends apoligized and went to put their phones away but were told they were drunk and kicked out without being given the option to defend themselves. Portland police just told me to yelp about it without even trying to defend us. Regardless of what my friends may have seemed to the workers or police, he should not have exposed me and embarressed me to the public. Even the women employees said they did not know what was going on and did not understand why their coworker was so upset. I paid for my overpriced ticket to get in and I even gave my card to pay for the picture ahead of time and was still turned away. Portland Cinco festival is over but ladies do not go to Old Time Photos any where because this place obviously employs people who think they are more imortant than a womans own public comfort. I am shy and feel embarrassed by what happened and that the police treated me with such disrespect. This all happened tonight so I am sorry to rant but I am so embarresed.

I’m upset. As a legal substance. As my medicine. I had some cannabis on me upon entering the festival. I understand no smoking regulations. I do not understand not being able to enter the festival because I have cannabis.

When will this second class citizenship treatment stop? I’m tired of businesses and situations like this treating cannabis users like this. It’s legal and I have a doctors given license.

Will there be a festival this year?!
