Just OK this trip but usually very good. My favorites are the pulled pork sandwich, onion rings, and a chocolate shake. Sometimes I'll get an egg salad sandwich and a BLT and make my own savory triple decker. Lots of other choices. You can still get malts and phosphates here, which are rare treats.

Ordered 2 "plus" meals which the "plus" just means your bun is toasted. But the buns were not toasted. Ordered French fries for 2 also but did not come out with the meal so had to reorder the fries, which when they came out, had no salt or ketchup. And the iced tea came out watered down. The only thing that was right were the 2 beef patties that I ordered from the dog menu. All this hassle and run around cost me almost $28. For an order and the incompetence of the staff. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking to have a good experience at a drive in restaurant.

Still awesome. Hard to best a delicious galley boy burger, a fantastic milk shake, and a cup of old school French fries. Add consistent great service for decades, and you got something special. Keep up the great work, thanks for a great meal.

Once an icon in the Akron area known for their great burgers. I have been eating their food for the last 35 years so I can honestly say the quality at most locations has been declining. I am sympathetic to the labor issues and the cost of goods increasing but it does not make it acceptable to serve lousy food. Today was the final straw, after waiting over 30 minutes watching many other cars that arrived after us get their food we tracked someone down only to find out they lost our order. Once we finally got the food we had to ask for help again as the order was wrong. To make matters worse the burger meat was so over cooked it was dry and crunchy . Swenson is not what it once was.
