The Nova Expansion Tattoo

My husband and I were in Seattle for a long weekend, and we walked by Nova Expansion a few times from our hotel and I noticed the window said "walk ins welcome" so I stopped in on a Saturday around 11am to see if there were any way to book something before we left. I spoke to a very nice woman who took my info and said they'd contact me with an opening. Lord Kelly texted me right away, saying he could book me that afternoon and asked about details for my tattoo. I had a specific lotus style that I've wanted for years and texted him the picture. He asked very thoughtful questions about what I wanted and then had it all ready and sketched out when I arrived. He was incredibly professional and thorough, and his attention to detail was amazing. We laughed and chatted and it made it very pleasant. The rate was beyond reasonable and he had it done in an efficient time. I am so very happy with my ink work, and my husband and I can't wait to get back there to do another.

I have been dreaming of a tattoo that shows all the places I have lived. Like my own personal, nomad passport. I noticed Nova Expansion walking through Queen Anne one day and found them on Indra. Getting and appointment and meeting with Lord was amazing. He took my “elementary” idea and made it beautiful and everything and more I could hope for. We did 5 sessions, and all 5 sessions Lord made me feel super comfortable. The studio is super clean, and everyone is incredibly friendly. They are like one big family. This is the biggest and most detailed tattoo I have on my body. He made it worth wild. We vibed off each other with ideas. He really showed is creative side, and knowledge for the tattoo. which I love! I couldn’t have asked for a better artist and I can’t wait for my next pieces! Lord, I gotta say thanks for the naps! Haha! I highly recommend Nova Expansion and go say hi to Lord!

My sister and I were looking for a nice tattoo shop to get some ink before she went off to college, and we definitely found the right place. Lord Kelly was perfect, from his cleanliness and technique to his respect and great conversation. He made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire experience. This was only my sister’s second tattoo and my sixth. She absolutely loved the way her tattoo came out. It was difficult placing my spine tattoo precisely, but after multiple attempts, we got it right. I always appreciate a tattoo artist who is patient with their art, and understands the permanence! The healing process was also one of the smoothest I’ve encountered throughout each of my tattoos. 10/10 would recommend!
